  • They take money from government ran banks and allow private banks to continue to operate. When they run the private banks they take a certain amount of money every time some one makes a withdraw.
  • They kidnap people and ransom them off. 
  • They operate multiple crude oil wells and sell barrels on the black market. 
  • They charge money for people to enter and exit certain countries. 
  • They capture people from other countries and ask for a very large amount of money from the country the individual was capture from.
  • Individuals also make donations to the Jihadist group.
  • They also tax people with in their territory like a government.
