Marilia changes from the beginning of the story to the end.
In the beginning, she was shy and didn't want to go to the nursing home because her grandma died in a nursing home. But at the end of the story she didn't want to go on the bus to go home because she met an old lady in the corner and she was blind and they were friends at the end of the story because the both love dance and Elenita was the best at dance when she was younger and able to see.
