Affiliated to Asia Book of Records it follows the Asian protocol of records as per the consensus arrived at the meeting of the Chief Editor of National Record of Books, Vietnam.

Senior School Student: Divyalakshmi V.P. gained entry into the India Book of Records in the year 2020 under the title YOUNG GIRL WITH VISION. 

She follows the motto, "Don’t just live, leave footprints" and has helped many impoverished people with the gift of vision. She has been collecting discarded and used spectacles from the community since 2015 and distributing it to the needy laborer’s in various medical camps for the past 4 years.

Middle School Student: Aishwaryaa V.P. gained entry into the India Book of records under the title "APPRECIATION" for being an enthusiastic child and involving herself in various extracurricular activities, actively participating in Ecofriendly activities and designing a Robot to help visually challenged people.

 

 

Each week, the ADNOC CSR team will post a free science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) challenge for youth to do at home from now until the end of summer.

 

Youth solve the challenges, submit a video of their solutions each week and get certificates. ADNOC CSR will also feature some of the solutions on the ADNOC STEM @ HOME page. Schools that have 50+ students participate in at least 1 challenge in May and June will get special awards from ADNOC.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school or college MUN club. At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an award certificate; the Best Delegate in each committee, however, receives a gavel. It helps students develop confidence, engage in the art of diplomacy and negotiations, develop problem solving skills, boost critical thinking and acquire public speaking skills.

The Fashion Fictions project brings people together to generate, experience and reflect on engaging fictional visions of sustainable and satisfying fashion cultures and systems. At this online workshop, participants will be guided through a playful creative process to each dream up a short, written outline of a fictional fashion world. At the end of the workshop, participants will be encouraged to contribute their outlines to the project’s repository of worlds.
 
 Fashion Fictions was created by Dr Amy Twigger Holroyd, Associate Professor of Fashion and Sustainability in the School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University, the workshop will also be facilitated by DIDI’s Fashion Design Lecturers, Noorin Khamisani and Corinna Erken.

Senior students have initiated CodeX, a Unique Programming and Web development

competition for all schools across UAE.

CodeX is sponsored by Emirates NBD, the UAE's leading bank, and supported by Emax, a

leader in the technology market in the UAE, along with EdsoLab.

WHAT: CodeX is a coding competition with a difference - A Website Development Challenge

and a Problem-Solving Programming competition, where students learn to tackle challenges

independently through coding.

This event spans over 15 days and involves workshop by IT experts, Individual and Group

competitions, student-led induction sessions, a panel discussion by experts who will also

evaluate and judge the competitions.

This memorable event was presided over by Vice Principals Ms Sheeba Jojo and Ms Asha Perinchery and Global Ambassador teacher Ms Marie Ramos along with the Team members Aishwaryaa Varadharajan, Adeeba Azeez, Kumari Aditi and Rushdha Mansoor who planted the first sapling of Ghaf tree on the grounds of OOD on 28^th April 2022.

It is our proud pleasure to introduce OOD’s contribution towards the GEMS Global Ambassadors Society which is made up of 50 schools Globally! We set out to make "that" difference through our student-led initiative - ‘The Global Game Changers’, where 17 young minds have diligently collaborated with their peers internationally, drawing up 17 innovative solutions tackling every one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals playing their part in being Agents of Change.

We wish to thank the Executive Director of United Nations UNADAP: Dr Dominic F. Dixon for supporting our endeavor. We were honored to have as our Chief Guest Ms. Asha Alexander Principal and CEO GEMS Legacy School, Dubai Executive Leader Climate Change-GEMS Education and Guest of Honor Vice President Education, Mr. Michael Guzder to grace the occasion. 

Initiated by the Research & Design B-yond department at OOD and conceived by Ms. Marie Ramos, the GEMS Global Schools Teacher Ambassador, started off as a Summer Project in 2021 and has now become a Global phenomenon, that will continue for the years to come.

Let the OOD GLOBAL GAME CHANGERS legacy live on…

Surviving through these dire times during the pandemic has just

re-emphasized the need for building a global synergy between Sustainability and the Environment, and this, draws the bottom line for an initiative conceived by GEMS Our Own English High School Dubai called "The Global Game Changers", where students have actively collaborated with their peers across continents, and proposed practical solutions addressing every one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The agenda being to reach out to the wider community, where young minds are inspired by the thought of making every individual realize their role in the global footprint and work together,
