There is a complex, higher paying employment world as well. With this information they won't be to go into this world. They also can't properly be responsible.

Why going up to 8th isn’t enough; “CFE disagreed, arguing that the standard should be set higher. "Capable" civic participation, Judge Leland DeGrasse finally ruled, includes, for instance, the ability to make sense of complex ballot propositions and follow argumentation about DNA evidence at trial. The court agreed that "meaningful civic participation” and prospects for "competitive employment," not simply minimum-wage employment, demanded a twelfth-grade level of verbal and math skills and similarly advanced competence in social studies and economics,” (Allen 2). Children will have more advanced learning if the grade goes up to 12th Everything will be more meaningful and they will know how handle the world of employment more properly.

Broad dissemination fixes money status: "Broad dissemination of skills is expected to drive down the wage premium on expertise and compress the income distribution,” (Allen 3). The wide range gives a variety of skills for everyone to obtain and use in jobs. Money will be a lot easier to obtain. Vocationalism solves inequality because it makes it possible for children to get higher paying jobs.

Civic education reduces inequality: “The civic conception of education suggests a very different way to understand the link between education and equality,” (Allen 2). Civic education promotes a new way of thinking about how education can reduce inequality. The range of skills that civic education will give ensure that inequality is reduced. Equality makes us better citizens. So it is important to learn about through civic education.

Civic agency: “Such civic agency involves three core tasks. First is disinterested deliberation around a public problem. Second is prophetic work intended to shift a society’s values; in the public opinion and communications literature, this is now called "frame shifting.” Finally, there is transparently interested “fair fighting,” where a given public actor adopts a cause and pursues it passionately,” (Allen 4). Civic agency teaches you how to be unbiased, shift views, and how to never give up. People need to be fair, empathic, and determined to be a good citizen.

State arguing that children should learn up to 8th grade: "the public schools had met their responsibility to enable children "to eventually function productively as civic participants.” Not coincidentally, the state argued that this education level was adequate preparation for minimum-wage labor," (Allen 1). State believes that learning enough for a minimum wage job is enough. They also argue that they should have enough information to learn how to manage in the world eventually. Learning up to 8th should be enough to survive in the employment world.
