Nome: Caroline F.G.J. Avellar. Turma: 1 informática.

Up (Up - Altas Aventuras) The movie "Up" is an adventure, animation, and dramatic comedy. It was released on September 4, 2009, in the United States.

The animation tells the story of an elderly man named Carl, also known as Mr. Fredricksen. Before retiring, he worked as a balloon salesman. Carl Fredricksen is forced to leave his home by public safety authorities. Unhappy with the situation, he comes up with the brilliant idea of tying thousands of balloons to his house and flying away on an adventure to South America — the place his beloved late wife had always dreamed of visiting. What he didn’t expect was that an 8-year-old boy scout named Russell, annoying and overly curious in Carl’s eyes, had accidentally entered the house and was now stuck with him on this journey.

I love this movie simply because it's beautiful how Carl remembers his beloved wife with so much love and tenderness. He seems like a grumpy old man, but deep down, he has a big heart and many emotional memories with Ellie (his late wife), which are recalled throughout the film. If you're looking for an emotional movie with a story full of adventure, you need to watch "Up".

Reviews:

1. Carl Fredricksen, a retired balloon salesman — half street-smart and half dreamer — has everything ready for one last great chance to fly. By tying thousands of balloons to his house, Carl takes off to live his childhood dreams. Without his knowledge, Russell, an 8-year-old scout who has never ventured beyond his own backyard, finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time… on Carl’s porch.

The most unlikely duo of all time sets off together, meeting fantastic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, a 13-foot-tall bird who cannot fly. Left with only each other’s company in the middle of the jungle, Carl realizes that sometimes the greatest adventures are the ones we don’t plan. The characters are captivating, and the film keeps you engaged with its high-quality animation.
2. This movie is really great... It made me cry, but it also made me laugh. It teaches us to never give up on what is truly precious to us, and it also shows that we should never stop trying, even when things get really hard. I was born in 2007, but I watched this movie with my mom in 2015. And I can say that it’s one of the best 3D animated movies ever. I highly recommend it — it’s really funny and shows the life of an old man who suddenly becomes a public threat.

We could say that if it weren’t for Russell — the little angel who entered Carl’s life — Carl would have given up. It’s a huge mix of adventure and drama, and because of that, it became one of the greatest animated films in the world. Watch it, I really recommend it. You’ll see how wonderful it is — and trust me, keep a tissue nearby.

Original Title: WALL-E

Título em Português: WALL-E

Type of Film and Year:

WALL-E is an animated science fiction and romance film released in 2008. It was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Andrew Stanton.

Plot Summary:

The movie is set in the distant future, where Earth has been abandoned because it became too polluted and full of garbage. Humans now live in space on a giant spaceship, while robots were left behind to clean up the planet. Among them is WALL-E, a small, lonely robot who continues working every day, even though all the other robots have stopped working. One day, a modern and advanced robot called EVE arrives on Earth with a mission: to find signs of life. WALL-E falls in love with her and follows her into space, starting a great adventure that may change the destiny of humanity.

My Opinion:

WALL-E is my favorite film of all time. I love the animation, the music, and the emotions that the characters express even without many words. It’s amazing how a robot can make us feel so much. The movie is both cute and deep, it talks about love, loneliness, the environment, and the future of the human race. I also have a special memory of watching this movie with my dad when I was little. I like how it talks about serious issues like pollution, loneliness and technology, but in a gentle and hopeful way.

Should people watch this film?

Yes, definitely! Everyone should watch WALL-E. It’s not only an amazing animated film, but also a powerful story about love, nature and the future. It’s perfect for all ages, and it stays with you long after the credits roll.

Reviews from reliable sites (in English):

The Guardian Review

The New York Times Review

It tells the story of a group of astronauts who travel through space to find a new planet for humans to live on, because Earth is dying. The film mixes science, adventure, and emotion, with beautiful visuals and a powerful soundtrack.

I really love this movie because it made me feel many emotions and also made me think.

Type of the Film:

Animated comedy film, released in 2004 by DreamWorks Animation.

Story:

Shrek and Fiona travel to the kingdom of Far Far Away to meet Fiona’s parents, the King and Queen. They are surprised that Fiona married an ogre, which creates tension. Meanwhile, the Fairy Godmother wants her son, Prince Charming, to marry Fiona. Shrek faces many challenges as he tries to prove he’s the right one for Fiona.

Opinion:

I think the film is a comedy! The silly jokes and slapstick make the movie even funnier. The animation — which is a bit low quality — definitely fits the story well, making everything better. The voices match the characters perfectly. Besides that, the choice of actors was great!

Should people watch it?

Definitely! Shrek 2 is entertaining for both kids and adults and has a positive message about love and acceptance.

Reviews:

1- Nice fitting sequel

After Shrek (Mike Myers) marries Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) in the first movie. Donkey (Eddie Murphy) has been watching the hovel while they're on their honeymoon. Then they get a summons from Fiona's parents (Julie Andrews, John Cleese) in Far, Far Away. The trio goes to Fiona's home to find an uneasy acceptance of what has happened. Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) returns after not finding Fiona in the tower. He and his mother Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) try to split Shrek away from Fiona. They threaten the King who in turn hires Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas) to kill Shrek.

There are some great additions to the cast of characters in the Shrek world. The main trio's chemistry is maintained while Puss form a new trio with Shrek and Donkey. It is just as good as the first one. It takes the situation and spins it into a family drama. The main idea of acceptance is expanded as the parents try to accept the Ogre into the family. It's a perfectly fitting sequel after the happily ever after.

LINK : https://www.imdb.com/pt/title/tt0298148/review/rw2988449/?ref_=tturv_1

2- To be honest

You have to have a very high IQ to understand Shrek. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of swamp physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Shrek's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depth of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Shrek truly are idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance the humor in Shrek's godlike catchphrase "What are you doing in my swamp", which itself is a reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Andrew Adamson's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools how I pity them.

LINK:

https://www.imdb.com/pt/title/tt0298148/review/rw4090438/?ref_=tturv_14

Writing a review involves giving your opinion about something — like a book, movie, product, service, or experience — and backing up your opinion with reasons and details. Here’s a step-by-step guide you can follow:

1. Start with a Clear Introduction

State what you’re reviewing (title, author/director, brand, etc.).

Mention the type of thing it is (e.g., movie, book, restaurant, etc.).

Give a brief summary or context, if needed.

Example:

“‘Inside Out 2’ is the long-awaited sequel to Pixar’s emotional adventure. This animated film dives into the inner workings of a teenager’s mind as new emotions arrive on the scene.”

2. Share Your Opinion

Be clear about whether you liked it or not.

You can use a rating system if appropriate (e.g., 4/5 stars).

Explain why you feel this way.

Example:

“The animation is stunning, and the introduction of new emotions adds depth to the story. However, the plot feels a bit rushed in the second half.”

3. Provide Supporting Details

Talk about specific aspects: plot, characters, design, usability, acting, writing, etc.

Mention what worked well and what could be improved.

Example:

“Anxiety, the newest emotion, is both relatable and well-developed. The voice acting, especially Maya Hawke’s performance, adds authenticity.”

4. Compare or Recommend

You can compare it to other similar things.

Mention who would enjoy it (or not).

Example:

“Fans of the original movie will find plenty to enjoy here, though younger kids might struggle with some of the deeper themes.”

5. Conclusion

Wrap up your thoughts briefly.

Restate your overall opinion and recommendation.

Example:

“Overall, ‘Inside Out 2’ is a thoughtful and visually rich film that balances humor with emotional depth. A solid sequel worth watching.”

Review of the SQL Page in phpMyAdmin

The page above is part of phpMyAdmin, a tool used to manage MySQL or MariaDB databases through a graphical interface. This section is specifically used to write and run SQL queries directly on the local server. It's the one we used most in class and is especially helpful when working on local projects with tools like XAMPP or WAMP.

The interface is clean and easy to use. There's a large box in the center for writing SQL commands, and a panel on the left showing all databases, which makes navigation simple. The top menu has useful options like Export, Import, and User Accounts.

Some features give you control, like enabling or disabling foreign key checks, or keeping the query visible after running. However, it could be better if it offered auto-complete or examples for beginners.

In general, this page is practical for learning and managing databases. It’s a helpful tool for both beginners and more experienced users working locally.

Written by:

Isadora Azevedo

Caroline Flores

Arthur

Maria Eduarda

Danielle Chagas

Débora Ázara
