Merchandisers can earn a Bachelor’s degree in Garment Technology, Marketing, or an equivalent background. This degree allows one to know fashion trends, and textiles and oversee how a design is produced.

Analyzing past campaign performance and reporting on the current campaigns. Strong verbal communication skills in both English and Vietnamese. A merchandiser has to communicate not only with the buyers but also with the others such as suppliers, nominated factory owners, and fabric manufacturers.

2. I have just had some months of internship at Nam Dinh garment factory and I realize that there are many particular problems related to the working conditions in that factory.
 The first problem is that workers feel bored and tired during working hours because of the simple and mono-tasks and long working hours without break time. I would like to propose some solutions to this problem. I recommend that management provide music to keep workers alert and improve productivity. It will help workers overcome boredom and fatigue. 
 Secondly, workers have to spend a lot of time looking for needed materials such as needles, buttons, or ribbons. The reason is that the factory does not have small boxes with labels. To solve this problem I suggest that the factory should provide small boxes with labels to categorize the materials and tools in different boxes. Therefore, workers can look for materials easily, saving time and increasing productivity. 
 Thirdly, workers spend a lot of time looking for a trash bin because the trash bin is located too far from the place of production and there is no trash bin under the working table. So, I suggest that they provide a trash bag under each worker's table, and at the end of each day, the bags will be collected at the designed place. I hope these problems will be resolved as quickly as possible to give workers the best working conditions which can improve the working efficiency and product’ quality of the factory

I’m a designer for ABC company. I have received the actual sample garment and see that there are some differences between the spec sheet sketch and the actual sample. The overall sample looks good. However, there are still some details that do not match the spec sheet requirements.

 

Firstly, the color of the pattern is scarlet but the specification is crimson so the pattern maker has to work again with the supplier of fabric to order the right.

Secondly, the spec sheet requires a black label with white letters on it, but the actual one hasn't got a label. So, you have to add the label as required. 

Next, the sample hasn't got leather piping to cover the lapel as required on the spec sheet so I suggest that you add leather piping to the lapel as required. With the button, the sample is missing the number of buttons, so, you have to add two more buttons with described spacing. 

Besides, the shoulder length should be 20", but the shoulder of the actual sample is 24" so take the shoulder 4". 

In addition, the sleeve length has to take the sleeve up 2" to correct the requirements of the spec sheet. 

Finally, the waist of the sample is 5" smaller than required so take the waist out in 5".

I have sent the comment back to the prototype development and hope that you will revise it soon to send to our customer for approval

Good afternoon, I’m …. Today, I will talk about individual production reports. The form number of the report is 001 and it is processed by me. On 26 January, worker A made 2 stages of the T-shirt model DHA47. They are sewing the collar and sewing the sleeve. Worker A used machine number 10 to sew the collar. She starts working at 7.30 a.m and finishes at 11.30 a.m. In this stage, she has completed 200 products but has 5 products that are defective. Then, from 1p.m to 5p.m, she worked at the sewing sleeve stage in machine number 5. During this time, she has finished 100 items and has 5 items that are defective. That’s all about my report

 

I will talk about delivery performance records. The form number of the record is 004 and it is processed by me. On 10th January, after discussing with the customers, we have 2 orders that need to deliver. They are a T-shirt model NT25 and Jacket model DH25. The order NT25 was scheduled for delivery on 15th January but on 18th January we just delivered the goods. So we delayed 3 days. The reason is that some workers were sick and have to take time off to work so the goods do not keep up with the delivery schedule. The order DH25 was scheduled for delivery on 25th January but on 27th January, we just delivered it. So we delayed delivery 2 days. This situation still occurs due to a defective machine for workers so the goods do not keep up with the delivery schedule.

Today, I will talk about accident records. The form number of the record is 005 and it is processed by me. On 20 February, our company had some accidents. Firstly, worker A in sewing group 1 was injured in her hand. While inserting the needle, by forgetting to turn off the power so the machine was still working, she was stabbedby the needle. I think all workers should pay attention to turn off all equipment when not working to ensure safety. After that, worker B in pressing group was burned(bơn tờ) on hands. Because he is a new workers so he does not have experience and due to negligence(ne gơ trừn), he was injured(in dút đ). I suggest that all workers need to focus and comply with safety rules while working.

On 20 January, there is a problem with machine number 10. At 8 A.M, the machine was stapping working. After that, I reported this problem, he call the technical staff to fix this problem. The machine starts to be maintained at 9 A.M and it worked again at 10 a.m. During maintenance, the downtime of the machine is 1 hous. The technical staff said that there cause of break down is the machine has been used for a long time and it is not regularly maintained, so the egine oil is dry the motor cannot rorate.
