The Bataan Death March, where Allied prisoners of war were made to walk 50 miles up the peninsula. Japan's goal was that they would die off. The march began with 70,000 and only 54,000 survives. The Rape of Nanking was another example in which they were very brutal, specifically to women and children where they would rape and/or kill them.

The Nuremberg trials were trials held to deal with war crimes at the time of WWII. They were held between 1945 and 1949 in which the Allies brought in Nazi leaders which were charged with waging a war of aggression. They were also accused of committing crimes against humanity by murdering 11 million people. The International military tribunal were representatives who represented 23 nations and put Nazi war criminals on trial for what they did. However, many leaders, such as Hitler or Heinrich Himmler did not go to the trials because they committed suicide.

-President Franklin D. Roosevelt referenced the bombing of Pearl Harbor as " a day that will live in infamy". Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, a U.S military base on December 7, 1941 which brought the United States into World War II against Japan, Germany, and Italy.. Accordingly, Roosevelt made the decision of "Europe first", which was a war strategy. This day was devastating as it killed about 2403 people and Japan continued to take more land.

Germans: The Germans began using Blitzkrieg, or "lightning war" as a military strategy. They first used it against Poland to test it out. It consisted of fast-moving airplanes and tanks, followed by massive infantry forces. Russians: The Russians used scorched earth where they would burn land where enemies would be so that the enemies would not have any available resources.
Americans: A strategy used was island hopping which was a plan by General Douglas MacArthur that would allow the American forces to seize islands that were not well defended and were nearer to Japan. So, they would pick and choose some.
Japanese: Their military strategy was called Kamikaze attacks where they would end up killing themselves if their were about to be captured or anything of that sort. They believed it was honorable and which left the Allied forces with few prisoners.

For many years Germans had targeted Jews because Jews were a minority and were still very successful. On, November 9 1938 there was an attack on Jews and their businesses and homes, this day was called Kristallnacht, or "Night of Broken Glass". Moreover, Hitler found out he could not get rid of the Jews through emigration so he ordered that all the Jews go to ghettos. Hitler then passed the Nuremberg laws which deprived Jews of their rights. Some of them were that they were not allowed to leave their house for three days-on pain of death, they no longer had the right to keep any objects of value in their house, every Jew must wear a yellow star, they were not allowed to go in restaurants or cafes, to travel on the railway, to attend the synagogue, to go out into the street after six o’ clock. As Hitler grew impatient, he ordered the "Final Solution" which was a program of genocide. Hitler wanted the Aryan race to be supreme. The people were then put in concentration camps where they would be killed automatically or they would work or starve to death. Teeth, hair, shoes, jewlery were worth more than the Jews.
