His success is not just from the book <em>Endangered.</em> Eliot Schrefer is also known for books such as <em>The Lost Rainforest, Glamorous Disasters, </em>and <em>Threatened. </em>Here are some interesting facts about him:<br>1. Eliot traveled down into the Congo to write his book Endangered. It provided him many great details about bonobos and the Congo.<br>2.Eliot traveled a lot as a young kid and in some the stories he uses where he lived as a setting like Cheshire, Connecticut. He travels to find ideas for a new book.<br>3. He failed at many literature programs before becoming an author</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Democratic Republic of the  Congo or the DRC is a struggling country due to Civil War, but it could be very prosperous because it is rich in many materials. After the overthrow of Motubu in 1997, the country went into Civil War. The war officially ended in 1997, but fighting still continues throughout the country and makes it very dangerous. If the country was handled properly, it would be very rich. It has tons of natural resources like diamonds, cobalt, and copper. The Congo also has one of the largest forest reserve in Africa. Here are some interesting facts you may not have known about the Democratic Republic of the Congo:<br>1. The DRC has half of the hydroelectric potential in the Continent.<br>2. Since 1960, 5.4 million people have died to war-related disasters<br>3. The DRC also has an abundance of gold, tantalum, tungsten, and tin. All are materials needed for electronics. They could be very rich because of this.</div>]]></description>
