I would have made a plan before starting to film

I learned how to communicate ideas and let others takeover in places I didn’t know what to do

What would I have done differently?

I don’t think I would’ve done anything differently, because i’m very happy with the results. And I think the whole group can agree that we had a great time and getting to know each other.

What did you learn?

I met Yuri today and she’s funny.

Challenges: The computer where we edited the video on broke down, and the entire edited video was gone. We had to desperately piece together our clips in the 10 minutes available, to make a makeshift video

What could be done differently: Send out the editing to all group members before finishing (so that we have a safety option)

Some challenges while filming and editing were staying on task but we overcame this task by finding the joy and value in creating new experiences and memories together.

Next time, something we would have done differently is brainstorm and make many more fun and creative ideas.

I learned how to collaborate with others without the usage of phones and technology to enjoy creativity and teamwork.

It was really fun exploring the site and getting to work with the year 1s. Our team had quite a bit of trouble coming up our initial idea. We had way too many ideas at first, which delayed us from filming until an hour in. However once we started walking around and looking for places to film, inspiration came easy to us. Editing the clips was difficult, as we kept changing the order or events and story line. Though it took us some time to film new scenes again, it all worked out in the end. We learned to be adaptable when the scenes didn’t turn out the way we expected, or when other groups were using the same area. Our creativity was tested, because having to create a short film with no prompt is quite difficult. If I were to do this again, I would create a better plane before filming.

What would I have done differently: maybe we should keep multiple copies of the video to prevent these incidents form happening again.

What I learned: To overcome challenges and balance time well. We need to re-edit the entire video, and the re-edited video crashed.

Editing: Finding different sound effects to match the mood. Also having to change the story and sequence of scenes multiple times, even having to re-record some scenes.

Free time: We locked in and didn’t really have free time.

What did you learn: collaboration is very crucial to make this project work, sometimes we have to compromise our ideas and come up with new ones.

a thing that we couldve done differently was planned beforehand before taking action and filming, so that it would make the whole process be much smoother and time efficient. i learn alot in this experience, but one especially is being able to creatively come up w ideas from nothing

Highlights were definitely when we were filming as we genuinely did have a lot of fun. We tried to make the video funny thus bringing laughter to us while filming. The challenges were trying to hold in our laughs while filming (a consequence of having a humorous script), as well as enduring the heat when filming outside.

What would I have done differently:

I would’ve tried to help with the editing more if we were to do this all over again, so that Ken wouldn’t have to edit all by himself. 😭

What did I learn:

I learnt that I am terrible at acting 😁. In a serious note, I learnt that collaboration skills are extremely essential when it comes to activities like these. It allows me to step out of my comfort zone and bond with people that I may not be as familiar with.
