Flappers influenced the 1920's in the way society viewed and tailored to ladies. Chain stores began to keep up with the new trends, like petticoats, bloomers, knitted sweaters, v-necks, cloche hats, cosmetics. For the very first time in history, women began to appear in TV commercials and advertising the flapper look. They practiced habits that were frowned upon by those who upheld Victorian ideals. These images reflect what exactly liberated women would wear and act in public.
