My media intake shifted from books to the internet. In eight grade I eased my way back into reading as my teacher stressed it on us heavily. I read the Hunger Games books as well as the first book from  the Divergent series. I breezed through the Harry Potter series. I think reading through those made me love reading just a bit more. I read The Outsiders which was just a really sad read. I usually always read what peaked my interest, I never really cared to read texts that were deemed to be. "what I should be reading". I was placed in a British Literature class which exposed me to so many texts. Reading has never been particularly difficult for me so thankfully it wasn't too much of a challenge for me but I had my moments of frustration. In that class I pretty much taught myself how to read again. I payed closer attention than ever, I would research segments that I didn't understand or that I found interesting. I grew a love for that genre, I began to see the importance of reading historical texts and I got a softer spot for reading. It had become less of a burden and more of something that I wanted to do outside of school. I looked up books to purchase and I encountered the autobiography of Mick Foley, a historic wrestler.
