2 The paper concludes that leadership is a very important factor for good management in construction projects. The study found that personal communication skill is the most important skill for an effective leader in the construction industry.

1. Project Goal

The main goal of this project is to make gabion structures stronger and last longer. We also want to lower the costs to build and maintain them. To do this, we'll create better ways to protect them and improve the materials and designs for future projects.

2. Project Objectives

To reach our goal, we will:

• Find ways to protect existing gabion defenses from natural problems like erosion, so they last longer.

• Look at and organize information about the strength of materials already used in defenses, and guess how long they will safely last.

• Study current methods to protect plastic and metal parts from sunlight (UV rays), rust, and fire.

• Make improvements to the gabion materials themselves and how they are built for future projects.

3. Expected Results

When the project is finished, we hope to have:

• A protective covering for geotextiles that sticks well and strongly protects against bad outdoor conditions, especially UV light.

• Better, more durable materials to replace the usual geotextiles.

• Ideas for simpler, more standard designs that cost less to build and run, and are easier to equip.

Ukraine is currently facing war, which means many types of weapons are used. Because of this, we need ways to protect our cities, factories, and military buildings. Using gabions is a very common and effective way to reduce damage. They are like big, strong baskets filled with earth or rocks. They are easy to make, quick to build, flexible, cheap, and don't need complicated machines or highly skilled workers.

Using simple, standard gabion designs has allowed us to create protection quickly. But for the long term, we need to find ways to make them last longer. The biggest problem right now is using geotextiles (a type of fabric) that are not made to stay in direct sunlight for a long time. Strong UV rays from the sun make the material get old very quickly.

The Ukrainian emergency services, local governments, and military have a lot of information about what gets damaged. This can help us learn what works well and what doesn't. By using their information and our desire to make things better, we can create the best designs for different types of protection.

With real information about attacks and proven data on how strong different materials are, we need to build reliable and long-lasting structures for specific types of protection. Right now, gabions are only mentioned in Ukrainian building laws (DBN) for roads and their nearby slopes. This means we urgently need to continue developing, discussing, agreeing on, and approving new building laws (DBN) for gabion structures very soon.
