]]> 2013-06-02 19:19:54 UTC https://padlet.com/panamenoleilani/dabombwall/wish/10423639 Connection to "Night" panamenoleilani https://padlet.com/panamenoleilani/dabombwall/wish/10423657 how I connected to this book was just keep reading from beggining to end.  The part when Elie regretted not listening to his father when he called him  is something that I can relate to, but in this case with my mother.   Sometimes  my mom gives me some good advice when we talk, and she expects me to understand, but usually, I do the opposite and she always tells me " the things I tell you just go in one ear and it goes out the other doesn't it?" I act like I just brush it off my shoulder, but usually in the end it makes me feel bad that I didn't listen to her. It saddens me because sometimes you don't realize how people  feel until you think about it.

These examples can also persuade others to advocate against bullying too.

Bulling the word that stuns the nation
the word people here and get frustrated
Bullying is for the ones who are reckless the ones who need help to find a perfect message
Through hearts being crushed and when noone listens it is our job to make sure they get the message

Short, fat, ugly, too dark
is this the way we take our part
shes weird, shes blonde
who are you....god?
But oh yeah thats right... you think your perfect because we dont see flaws
we dont see what were called (human beings)
were not perfect
we all have flaws: too dark, not smart
guess what normal shouldnt even be in the dictionary
because theres no such thing as normal
whats normal?
whos normal?
am i normal?
These things make us all distinct, different, unique I guess thats why preachers preach
so we will see we were not here to impress and wear fancy dress
but to complete a mission we have yet to adress

I wanted to be in the "cool" crowd, but I learned it really wasn't worth it. After witnessing my friend get bullied bad by my supposed "friend",  and experirencing some of it myself, I just don't like to see others going through that mess. sometimes you think ignoring it is all you need, but sometimes you just have to take a stand.
