I did not like presenting and I was not a person who would willing volunteer for things. We learned how to run the games, what the layout of orientation was going to be and what our roles were going to be on the day of. Mr. O saw that I knew all of the games and I was doing really well when presenting to my little group so he asked me if I was comfortable to run one group of Grade 9's all by myself without a partner. I of course said yes. When the gym portion was done, i collected my group and went to our assigned classroom. It was all running smoothly until the kids started to get comfortable. There was this one girl who just decided that she did not want to participate anymore and she felt like she could do what she pleased because I knew her brother. Then there were some who still had not opened up to the group yet so they did not want to participate in the final group game. I could be a leader as the students looked up to me. I participated in my classes more that year and in Leadership whenever Mr.O would ask the class for volunteers for any event or task, my hand would be the first to shoot up. This is because I did not have to stress about my Grade 12 year and whether or not I was going to have the same lunch as my friends, lots of presentations to complete or if I was going to have to participate a lot in class. I did not have to stress because I knew that it was all going to be okay. If I did not have the same lunch as my friends, I would make new ones on that lunch. If I had a presentation, I would go up and present.
