Logan has a rich culture that is most famously recognized through Chicano Park and the dedicated residents who spend years making sure that the culture is never forgotten. Recently, the barrio has been experiencing gentrification. New in-movers have completely flipped around the area with new apartments, markets, and restaurants. While they may have good intentions, there are still negative effects taking place. For example, many have been displaced from their homes due to construction and renovations that led to a price hike in rent, as well as family-owned businesses losing profit to new competitors.
