I know that fables are stories that teach lessons. Fables usually have two characters that are animals or things from nature (like the wind, or the sun, or trees). The characters in fables talk to each other, so they are fictional, because I know that animals don't talk to each other in real life. Fables are usually short & concise. They don't have chapters, like some stories do. The title of a fable is always the characters names, but they don't have names like "Caroline" or "Daniel", they are just animals like "Fox" and "Stork".
