The musical element "lit" can be described as upbeat with a fast tempo, giving you positive energetic vibes. When people think of the music element "lit," they associate it with music that brings them good times. When talking about music being "lit," a lot of the time people use it when they are at a party or a social gathering and everyone starts singing along which people think is a good time. A song people when find "lit," that everyone would sing along to would be Party in the U.S.A by Miley Cyrus. The reason why we picked the song Party in the U.S.A is because it is a song with an upbeat fast tempo, has catchy words, and is definitely a song everyone can sing along to. Party in the U.S.A has cool guitar sounds at the beginning of the song then the beat of the drums gives it that upbeat feel. Another way people associate music being "lit" is a song that gets them pump up and ready for a sporting event. A song we used when describing this would be Power by Kayne West, which is a fast tempo and energetic song that makes you ready for whatever event you are taking on for the day. Power by Kayne West starts off with some type of upbeat clapping, then enters the cool unique sound of the drums with different types of cool sounds that help create the upbeat vibes. We also found "lit" music is all sorts of music genres like acapella, classical music, and country.
