For me, the most important thing is time: I feel the time limits, especially when I want to explore an application that I found out about and I like its facilities.
Another factor that I cannot influence is the quality of the internet connection, at school: if it is not appropriate, the designed applications do not have the desired effect.
The rest (devices) are problems worth investing in, if the school does not provide the necessary support.

To use technologies pedagogically appropriately, teachers need much more then equipments. Is important have:
-common time and space in teaching hours for collaborative work as many teachers need to be involved and by themselves do not adhere well to digital;
-knowledge of available/existing resources for educational work and educationa trends;
-equipment/networks that are stable enough to feel secure in planning and carrying out their work;
-monitoring the work that is being done, as without it, teachers who are less involved tend to lose out:

I trully believe we need a Wi-fi connection reliable and with fair speed. Like that we will have already half of our needs done. Then flexible classrooms to receive laptops and specific rooms to work as normal room but also as a video conference room, a reading room, a lissening room (for languages for example), and so on. All of them convertible in a common room.

Among the list of necessities for support:
1º) Good internet conexion: it´s mandatory having a good net for working with technology in our daily classes.
2º) Devices: interactive boards, tablets, laptops,.. They allow promote the ICT skills of students and teachers. It should be advisible that all the students have their own device or at least, share in pairs.
3º) Apps that can be used in order to improve their knowledge and make the class more interesting.

To use technology in the classroom in a didactic way, teachers need to know very well the curriculum they want to teach, do a preliminary job of converting that part of the curriculum into a project that can be developed by students independently and at the same time. in collaborative groups, and in turn, the teacher needs to have another teacher or groups of teachers willing to collaborate with him. We need:
1. Time: something teachers don't have if we consider all the stuff we have to cope with.
2. Equipment: schools are nowadays starting to renew old devices and introduce new forms of online education. However, there is a lot more to do.

1. Good connection . Teachers in many italian schools struggle to have and use an ITC Lab, a quick connection which can support the use of internet by many PCs or other devices such as tablets or smartphones.
2. Updated as well as functioning devices such as PCs, tablets, smartphones, interactive whiteboards. An expert technician is usually available in each school to keep these devices well functioning. It is not common, though, to have latest version of them.
3. Teacher competence in using the devices and, very important, the various educational platforms and application which the net offers, fit for so many activities which can be chosen ( Padlet, Genially, Thinklink, Camaleo. Power point, and other tools to produce and edit vodeos...).
4. Teacher availability to integrate their knowledge of these tools with the ones known and used by students ( students are usually more expert and this could be a way to do a bottom -up educational activity and let emerge their digital competence)
5. be able to balance the use of these technological tools with the standard teaching/learning methods like group work, discussions, debate, peer work and assessment.
6. Be available to share each teacher competence and skills with other colleagues, preferably in regular meetings planned by the school Principal, who will relate the effects of the use technological tools in class activities and their weak or strong points, at least at the end of each school year.
7. Have teachers in the school available to constantly train themselves on the matter.

The pedagogical use of ICT is probably the most relevant issue, but for that teachers need

- Time – whatever changes may occur, at least at the beginning, all is time consuming till one feels confident enough to implement and share them in our classroom contexts

- A stable internet connection that at least allows teachers and students to use their own devices

- Equipment / infrastructure provided by the stakeholders, government...

- Common guidelines and more time for ICT classes: sts complain they never learn anything interesting – when they learn at all in their 50-min weekly class for 6 months. Just like adults, I believe students learn what they need and want and they don’t feel the need to learn anything right now.

I use technology in my classes, however I don't totally agree with using it. Sometimes we waste a lot of time with designing computer based activities and as long as the volume of the input lessens I do not see the purpose of laying so much emphasis on turning to it. Yes, indeed in some activities students have to socialise more and that adds to the advantages.

The first priority, in my opinion, is a commun view about learning process. Teachers need to go in the same direction. Once we establish what we want students to learn, technology will be a medium to get there.
The second priority, is infraestructure: good internet connection, laptops... and also good software (maybe free software as in linux - using open office for instance)
The third priority - collaborative work between teachers, having time to plan projects with several subjects.

1. Good connection . Teachers in most Romanian schools struggle to have and use an ITC Lab, a quick and stable connection which can support the use of internet by many PCs or other devices such as tablets or smartphones.
2. Updated, as well as functioning devices, such as PCs, tablets, smartphones, interactive whiteboards. An expert technician is usually available in each school to keep these devices well functioning. (for example, in our school, the secretary (who is an IT-ist of profession) does this. But she is extremely busy and not alawys available when we need her.) It is not common, though, to have latest version of them.
3. Teacher competence in using the devices and, very important, the various educational platforms and application which the net offers, fit for so many activities which can be chosen ( Padlet, Genially, Thinklink, Camaleo. Power point, and other tools to produce and edit videos, etc).
4. Teacher availability to integrate their knowledge of these tools with the ones known and used by students ( students are usually more expert and this could be a way to do a bottom -up educational activity and let emerge their digital competence)
5. be able to balance the use of these technological tools with the standard teaching/learning methods like group work, discussions, debate, peer work and assessment.
6. Be available to share each teacher competence and skills with other colleagues, preferably in regular meetings planned by the school Principal, who will relate the effects of the use technological tools in class activities and their weak or strong points, at least at the end of each school year.
7. Have teachers in the school available to constantly train themselves on the matter, but not on their own money, how we do now.

In order to provide support and resources, first of all, the readiness of teachers and students in the use of technology must be ensured. Assuming it is provided:

For teachers to use ICT resources in a pedagogically appropriate way, a number of issues have to be resolved. First, it is important to train teachers in using ICT technologies in a way that adds value on the teaching-learning process. Second, the appropriate teaching material and resources have to be available for teachers to use. Third, all infrastructure needed for using ICT in education has to be in place (e.g. equipment, labs, WiFi, technical support etc). Fourth, it is important to have the mechanisms that will support teachers while embedding ICT in teaching and learning (e.g. ICT expert in school, 24/7 technical support etc).
