OER-Scenario 1:
Do the research to determine the best practices for using OERs. Create a curated list of resources to be shared with teachers in your district.

I view this living document as a tool for professional development. This would be a wonderful way to introduce staff to the resources below to explore and get creative with!

A big takeaway from this article is when Wolpert-Gawron lists her criteria for effective OER:
1) Encourages creation, not just consumption.
2) Inspires interaction.
3) Allows sharing, commentating, and collaboration.

Although this video was geared more toward higher-education, I found it helpful to see the output of what OER can provide. How much do our schools truly spend on textbooks? How much would we be saving if we successfully curated OER to assist with our curriculum?

This link categorizes resources between Elementary, Middle School, and High School remote learners. A pro to this resource, is how detailed the lessons can be! A con would be the mere fact that Elementary Math has 1,196 resources, while English Language Arts has only 22 resources. Being an open and available hub of learning is wonderful, but what you're looking for is not always guaranteed to even be there.
