Readiness to Learn: We must be ready to learn so that we can move up the socal or career ladder.<br>4. Orientation to Learning: We must not only be subject area expects but are becoming problem solvers through real world application.<br>5. Motivation to Learn: Our willingless to learn is a part of us internally and we want to learn to do better for ourselves.<br>6. Adults like to be respected: We learn to seek meaning not necessarily just money.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>8 Important Tips for Effective PD</em><br>1. Use what you are teaching: Effective PD should enable teachers to use what they are teaching in order to directly impact students.<br>2. Develop something that you will use right away: PD should be relevant and applicable.<br>3. Use the lesson and receive feedback: Artifacts can be used to help teachers learn from each other and receive feedback on how to improve the lesson to meet student needs.<br>4. Improve and level-up with another person: Collaborating with others can help you grow as an educator and professional.<br>5. Local responsibility and buy in: Teachers should be accountable for their PD and receive techniques that they are going to use.<br>6. Long-Term Focus: The training and principles presented should resignate with teachers long-term so that they are active learners.<br>7. Good Timing: Flexibility with training should occur; including blended and online learning to work around schedules.<br>8. Empower Peer Collaboration:  Collaboration is a great tool for educator support and learning.</div>]]></description>

I could have teachers even practice by creating a Twitter hastage (i.e.technologyedhelp) and connecting with others.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>What idea really resonated with you?<br>Visser's Twitter for Teachers article mentioned, "Because PLNs exist online, informal PD is nearly always accessible and therefore tends to become embedded in the teacher's daily routine, which can lead to transformation of practice, (Visser et. al, 2014)."<br><br>How can you apply this information to your classroom?<br>I can thinking about learning and motivation regarding my students as they need to be motivated too. I could offer prizes or other rewards for project and assignment completion to encourage students to continue to be active learners.<br><br><br>How can you apply this to your PD?<br>I will create PD opportunities that are not only engaging but also offer various modes for learning, I can have half of the PD online while the other in person. I could also offer rewards for teachers who answer questions or share suggestions in the PD.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
