According to Mike Rose," True, many uses of writing are abbreviated, routine, and repetitive, and they infrequently require interpretation or analysis. But analytic moments can be part of routine activities, and seemingly basic reading and writing can be cognitively rich"(58). We believe that reading and writing can help us to get some new knowledge and open our mind to be a successful person.

In the article "Hidden Intelligent", Ned Laffhas says: "is not simply to exploit students' nonacademic interests, but to get them to see those interests through academic eyes"(Graff, 4). As Laffhas states, we should combine students' interests with education and teach students skills from the areas that they are interested in. This can inspire students be more passionate and gain the knowledge easily.

According to Mike Rose, "When we devalue the full range of everyday cognition, we offer limited educational opportunities and fail to make fresh and meaningful instructional connections among disparate kinds of skill and knowledge" (58). We agree with this article because some people do not have to go to school to get the knowledge and some people do not have the opportunity to go to school and they have the skill to do their jobs.

according to Mike Rose, "Affirmation of diverse intelligence is not a retreat to a softhearted definition of the mind." (7) Intelligence is not the only standard to define if a person is successful or not.

According to Mike Rose, "We reinforce this notion by defining intelligence solely on grades in school and numbers on IQ tests" (56). We can't judge people for their academic level because there are many people are succeed on their own life skill without academic knowledge.

Mike Rose states that "Generalizations about intelligence, work, and social class deeply affect our assumptions about ourselves and each other, guiding the ways we use our minds to learn, build knowledge, solve problems, and make our way through the world" (Rose 55). In other words, does not matter in which position of education we are, the most important thing is to use our skills to succeed in life.

According to Gerald Graff “ …the flip side of what I pointed out before: that there’s no necessary relation between the degree of interest a student shows in a text or subject and the quality of thought or expression such a student manifests in writing or talking about it”(64). We disagree with this comment because if a person has to work, she or he should love what they are doing. Otherwise, they cannot be successful and they cannot be happy in their life.
