         <title>Short term effects- Bad habits; If consuming large amount of alcohol while breastfeeding can cause decreases in growth, weakness is baby, drowsiness in baby and other health issues. If smoking while breastfeeding, the baby has higher risk of bad respiratory problems,higher risk of pneumonia. If mother does not get enough calories it can make nursing more difficult and bad breast-milk production.</title>

         <title>SPECIFIC NEEDS WOMEN who are breastfeeding will need to have an extra 200-600 calories per day. This is because they will lose calories during the breastfeeding process. This is until your baby starts to eat other foods than you can cut back on the extra calorie intake.Women who are breastfeeding will need 2-3 servings of protein a day weather its meat, fish, eggs, beans or nuts.The amount of calcium is around 1300 milligrams per day  for women who are breastfeeding.If you are 18 years of age or younger, you should get 10 milligrams of iron per day. For those over 19, the suggested daily intake is 9 milligrams. </title>
