We then held a team meeting evaluating what needed to be done and how we wanted to achieve it. Originally we wanted to analyse pedestrianised movement and gestures and explore how they get to the final location. Each person was going to have their own location and specific prop / accessory with a black outfit. We ended up keeping the idea of each person having a specific prop but with individual outfits instead as having all black made us look too similar.

For the bike movement we struggled a lot as dancing whilst riding a bike is quite challenging so had to keep it very simple. In the end I though it would be best to use the occasional deveolp leg and head roll because we were still able to show to idea of circular movement like the tube but also kept it very pedestrian, we still showed the difference between the dancer movements and pedestrian in the other clips.

This contrasted with Tabby's walking clips as we were able to include a lot of movement without obstacles getting in the way, as a group we thought that it would look good to connect the different videos through transitions in the movement. At one point we walked past a pole and tabby had the idea to improvise on it to show her some freemovement, so I gave her a few pointers to think about and it came out brilliant. For example, we had an idea that Tabby could trip and fall to the ground with the camera following her and then the video would transition into me on the bus standing back up.

Millie was in charge of costumes and wanted me on the bus to have a watch, so I created the movement around that playing on the idea of being late and agitated by that. This included many foot taps and zooming in on my feet as well as the repeated motif of looking at my watch. I also included a lot of movements from the other method of transport to show the similar journeys that we took.

One of these mistakes was the scheduling of the project. We found it quite different trying to link all of the sections together and some were filmed with different lighting and angles like the bus and walking sections because they were filmed on different days, next time we should schedule them to be on the same day and the same location so this idea would have worked. This mistake would have been fixed easily if we had a set schedule and someone in charge of this as it would have made filming days run smoother.

Another error we made was not paying enough attention to the emotion behind our movements which we realised after the project had been edited together. As a team we were too focused on perfecting the filming, movement and costumes that we missed the connection that we were trying to achieve from our original inspiration of the TikTok.

However I believe the choreography fitted well with the different types of transport making it clearer to the audience that we were all on different journeys making the theme clearer. The costumes who were created by Millie showed off our characters with lots of attention to detail by the way we all had individual props. The filming was clear and professional which Izzy was in charge off. And the music matched the theme perfectly especially when it followed the story of the movement when the tempo and dynamics picked up which was chosen by Tabby.

All in all I think we did a successful job of created the piece that we had envisioned.
