My name is Hana' Durrah binti Mohd Feham. I am turning 20 years old on 1st August 2025. Moreover, I am from Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Law (AIKOL) taking the course of Bachelor of Law and Law (Syariah). In my view, sustainable development is the process of addressing current needs without sacrificing the capacity of future generations to address their own. It is significant because it fosters economic expansion, and environmental preservation for the long-term welfare of the world.

I did not know much about sustainable development. I assumed it was primarily about energy conservation and recycling as ways to protect the environment.
The 17 SDGs and their connections to significant worldwide concerns like poverty, education, and climate change were unknown to me.

After learning SDG

I now know that sustainable development means finding a balance between caring for the environment, growing the economy, and making sure that people are happy now and in the future.
I feel more aware of my responsibilities and how I can make a difference. I know the 17 SDGs and how I can help in my daily life and community.

SDG 4 – Quality Education

"Grand Tarbiah Talk 2.0: Youth vs. Desires – The Ultimate Jihad" is a spiritually focused motivational talk for young people that talks about one of the most important personal development challenges: fighting against one's own desires. This is called "jihad al-nafs" in Islam, which means "the greater jihad." It is the ongoing effort to keep the soul clean and stay morally and spiritually disciplined.

The session, which is led by Ustaz Jafri Abu Bakar Mahmoodi, aims to help young people deal with the complicated feelings and temptations they face in today's world, like social media pressure, materialism, and emotional instability. The talk gives people ideas based on Islamic values and spiritual practices that can help them get through these problems, build their sense of self, and find peace and meaning in their lives.

It also teaches morals and character. The talk gives spiritual and moral advice that helps young people learn about values like self-control, responsibility, and never giving up. These are important parts of holistic education that helps people become well-rounded and morally sound.

"Dialogue Zone 2.0: Bridging Worlds – Student Experiences Across Cultures" is a panel discussion led by students that brings together people from different religious and cultural backgrounds to talk about their own experiences, problems, and lessons learnt while living in different cultures. The event gives people from different cultures and religions a chance to talk to each other, which helps them understand and appreciate the diversity of the world.

Br. Azhan will lead the discussion, which will include panellists Br. Yahya Mohsen Ahmed Hasan Aljudiey, Sr. Nurul Aufa, and Ceyda Hatice Atak from programs in Comparative Religion and Fiqh. The topic will be how faith, culture, and academic life all connect. Students will think about how they deal with different cultural norms, how to balance their own identity with fitting in, and what they can learn from meaningful interactions with people from other cultures. Prejudice, discrimination, and miscommunication are lessened when people from various cultural and religious backgrounds communicate with one another.

The purpose of the professional development workshop "From Challenges to Triumphs: A Teacher's Guide to Special Education Needs Students" is to support teachers to gain a deeper understanding and facilitate the special educational needs students. To create student-centered, inclusive classrooms, the conference will improve teachers' confidence levels, sensitivity levels, and competence by hands-on.

The workshop, led by a seasoned presenter, will cover common issues teachers are bound to encounter, best practices for addressing multiple learning styles, and strategies for creating a welcoming and positive learning environment for all students. The objective is to empower teachers with the attitude and skill set to transform challenges in the classroom into opportunities for both students' and teachers' success and growth.

Through equipping teachers with the skills to support students with Special Education Needs (SEN), this event directly promotes inclusive and equitable quality education. It encourages all without exception, based on ability or background, to have access to lifelong learning.

"PEACETIVAL 5.0: Interfaith Dialogue 8.0 [LGBTQ+: Perspective between Religions]" is an apt and well-timed event that aims to explore the question of LGBTQ+ identities from the perspectives of three prevailing world religions: Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism. Taking place on 19th May 2025, the event is part of the ongoing Interfaith Dialogue series, known for bridging the gap between religious groups through empathetic understanding.

These days, LGBTQ+ acceptance and rights are normally a sensitive topic between generations and societies. The forum is not meant to impose, but rather create an open, respectful discussion forum for religious leaders to share their faith-based perspectives on LGBTQ+ issues, encouraging comprehension, and respectful discussion. It encourages tolerance, understanding, and the settlement of disputes between people of different social and religious backgrounds.

Senior Superintendent Cheong Zhit Hou, Deputy Chief Investigator of MACC Kuala Lumpur, is a guest speaker at the integrity and anti-corruption course "Kursus Integriti dan Anti Rasuah (KIAR)," which is hosted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM). Selected sections of the CCLM 2020 and CCFM 2061 courses require attendance at the session, which is set for May 20, 2025, at IIUM's Main Auditorium.

The objective of this program is to inform students particularly those engaged in law, finance, or governance studies of the dangers of corruption, the necessity of ethical leadership, and the means of upholding integrity in professional and public life. Through this initiative, students will learn about real cases of corruption, anti-corruption law, investigation methods, and moral consequences of unethical actions.

Through the listening of this lecture, students are not only fulfilling a course requirement but also framing personal and professional values aligned with initiatives towards justice, transparency, and good governance in the globe.

I now have a better knowledge of the connections between the SDGs. These encounters have inspired me to help bring about constructive social change by demonstrating to me that accomplishing the SDGs involves more than just environmental sustainability. It also entails advancing equality, well-being, and accountability.
