So he had a job to rule responsibly and take care of his land and his people. This should of put a lot of stress on him to be a good ruler and not to disapoint the "Mandate of Heaven" So that might be the reason why he retired.

The Zhou Dynasty's beliefs and the Mandate of Heaven affected Qianlong's rule because becuase Qianlong ruled during the Zhou dynasty which ruled for a little less than 800 years. He was a ruler and had to stick to the beliefs of prior rulers while including his own opinion. The term "Mandate of Heaven" is to the "son of Heaven" (Heaven picked a ruler) and that means if Qianlong wasn't worthy anymore for whatever reason he would be "kicked out" and not able to rule anymore. Someone else would rule instead and become the new "Mandate of Heaven"

The Zhou Dynasty's beliefs and the Mandate of Heaven affected Qianlong's rule. I think this because he was considered as said in the Achieve 3000 article, in the dig deepeer, (para 2) the text says that he was the "son of heaven," and during this time, he had to rule in a responsible and moral way. This was because the emperor had absolute power. He chose not share the power with anybody else. During the Zhou Dynasty which was ruled a little under 800 years, he was the ruler and had to obey the beliefs of others. Although he had to obey what everyone else thought, he still got to include his opinion with it.

The Zhou dynasty's belifs greatly affected there long rule. They ruled for just under 800 years. During this time they created a belif system. This system would essentially say that the ruler is chosen by the heaven. As they would call it "son of heaven". Although, each ruler would have to take full responsibilty of the role as a ruler. They would have to take care of there land and there people. If they didn't then they would be overtaken. Whoever the new ruler was would be the new mandate of heaven. This philopshy would increase the longevity of the zhou dynasty because since each ruler/mandate of heaven was required to rule with full reponsabilty and be kind to there citzens. The rulers would have no choice but to be a benevolent to everyone. This would improve citizens realtions with there government causing them to want to listen to what there mandate of heaven has to say. This will lead to a more funcitoning way of ruling.

The Zhou Dynasty's beliefs and the Mandate of Heaven impacted Qianlong´s rule. This is because Qianlong was granted to be called ¨son of heaven¨. In the article it states,¨he had to rule in a responsible, moral way. The emperor had absolute power, meaning that he did not share power with any other person.¨"What this means that he was honored to be the ¨son of heaven¨ and this could have impacted his ruling to the empire. If his empire fell down, it would have been his responsibility. The heaven would not let him rule any longer. It was important for Qianlong to make his empire powerful.

The Zhou's beliefs and the Mandate affected Qianlong's rule in a positive way because in his lifetime, the Achieve3000 article states that he increased the army's strength by riding in military campaigns and extended China's borders well into Asia. He also increased the food population by ordering his peasants to plant crops like corn and sweet potatoes. He was also known for the his strong love of arts. The article also states that he based his 27 house building off his delicate ways of art. So, in my opinion, since Qianlong had so many positive affects in his lifetime, he probably led the most positive life out of all emperors.

The mandate of heaven is when the emperor was authorized by Heaven to rule. The mandate of heaven helped him to believe that he was chosen to rule the empire. He was even considered the "son of Heaven." So the civilization helped him to feel more confident in ruling .

So if the empire falls apart it is due to the fact that Heaven does not want the ruler to rule the empire anymore. Some of the people who protest the government's actions argue that the nation's leaders have lost their Mandate of Heaven due to their poor treatment of the people. Rulers who do not fully fufil the roll of a proper emperor would obviously not be under the Mandate of Heaven.

The Zhou Dynasty's beliefs and the Mandate of Heaven affected Qianlong's rule because he ruled for less than 800 years. In the dig deeper it states that ¨According to the Mandate of Heaven, the emperor was authorized by Heaven to rule. In fact, he was considered the "son of Heaven." Because of this, he had to rule in a responsible, moral way.The emperor had absolute power, meaning that he did not share power with any other person.Still, it was his duty to protect the people. If he did not, according to tradition, society might fall apart, and he would be held responsible. Heaven would not want him to rule any longer.¨ He should have rued better.
