Rainbow Fish was a beautiful fish with many shiny glimmering scales. He felt so confident about himself and loved the attention he received from the other fish because of his scales. One day, a Little Blue Fish approaches Rainbow Fish admiring his beautiful scales, and asks if he could have one, but Rainbow Fish angrily declines and The Little Blue Fish sadly swims away. After noticing that all the fish don't want to be around him, Rainbow Fish becomes upset and wants to figure out how to make friends. So, he ultimately ends up giving The Little Blue Fish one of his shiny scales, and shares with many other fish as well, until he's only left with one for himself. Although Rainbow Fish only has one shiny scale left for himself, he is so happy that he has made friends, and that he made the other fish happy with their new scales.
