The Girl Who Dared to Rise by Bella Forrest
The book is about a girl, Liana, who lives in a tower that protected people from the deadly enviornment outside. In the tower their is a ranking system based on people thoughts. If their thoughts are sad their number will stop dropping. It goes from 1-10, 10 being perfect, and 1 being useless. 2's and 1's are killed as they have no use to the tower, and 3's and 4's are sent to get medical treatment to change their way of thought. Liana is a 5, almost going down to a 4 (this is the plot of the 1st book and not spoilers, I am currently on the 4th book and anything past the 1st book would be a spoiler). I will try to read 15-35 pages a day.

I thought that this book wasn't my cup of tea because it was a bit unorthodox. I didn't want to read the book but when I started reading I couldn't stop.
My goal for this weekend is to read 118 pages. I'll try my best because this weekend I'm very busy but I'll try. Anyway, the book is about Ana and how she started noticing little changes happening. I personally didn't think they were little but more like huge changes. Ana wasn't allowed to go to her regular school because she was a Jew and she couldn't preform with her band because she was a Jew. A lot of workers were fired and the Jews from Poland tried to escape but they couldn't. All of a sudden they were on a train heading to Auschwitz. I'll have to read more to find out what happens next.

My current independent reading reading books are Sunny Side Up by Jennifer L. Holm an American Street by Ibi Zoboi.
I want to read 60 pages in total so that would mean I would have to read 30 pages from each book. For the book Sunny Side Up I'm on page 103 and for the book American Street I'm on page 24. Sunny Side Up is about how Sunny Lewin faces many obstacles and goes to unexpected places. However, she learned many things at the end. American Street is about how Fabiola is worried about her moth being in an immigration center in New Jersey. I decided to choose other topics because reading books about the Holocaust is important but I should also branch out to other topics.

I read 12 page of my independent reading book American Street. I got up to page 36. Fabiola was about to go to school. She was really nervous considering it was her first day in an American School.

The only way to get out of there is by the maze, but the maze changes every night and is very dangerous. Each month a new person is added and after the main character is brought up, everything goes wrong. The maze runner series is most likely my favorite I've read so far, besides Harry Potter. It takes place in a town called Morioh, which was recently struck by a tsunami. In addition to having to rebuild after the tsunami, the citizens also have to worry about these sections of land that have jutted out of the ground with the same part of said land missing. One character, Yasuho, just found the main character, who still doesn't have a name, just lying on the ground after a tsunami. He didn't have any memories of anything, even his name. I just got up to the part where they got to his house. As I said before, I just started, and I'm not far enough to form a complete opinion regarding it, but I like it so far. If I were to rate it on a scale from 1 - 10, I would give it an 8

I am currently reading 3 books. Yes, 3 books at the same time. This might seem hard but it really isn't for me since the three books are about the same topic. The three books concentrate on medicine. I want to become a cardio thoracic surgeon when I grow up so I love reading books about medicine. Sorry for going a bit out of topic. The 3 books I'm reading are The Future of Medicine by Lori Dittmer, Nanotechnology and Medicine by Don Nardo, and Virtual Reality and Medicine by James Roland. On all three books I'm on pages 50-60. These books involve the future of medicine and how new technology can cure so many diseases. For instance, by using virtual goggles you can face your phobia and get rid of it. I'm learning about antibiotic chemicals and bacteria that exist. I hope to read 30 pages for all 3 books by Monday.

I am currently reading two books at once. I am rereading the 5th part of JJBA and reading the 8th part. I can't explain much about the plot without spoiling it, but i'll try. Anyway, the main villain, who I can't name, and the main character, Giorno, are both trying to get an arrow that will power up their stands (magic ghosts) to allow them to accomplish what they want most in their life. The main character wants to defeat the boss' ability, which is too complicated to explain, while the boss wants to stay hidden forever. The problem with this is that there is a stand guarding the arrow, and said stand makes people switch bodies and makes their own stand attack them if they get too close. Additionally, the villain, instead of switching bodies, is hiding in someone else's body. I know it sounds really complicated, but it makes more sense if you read it. Anyway, I would rate it a 9/10. The only gripe I have with it is that the main character is a bit of a gary stu in that only two characters dislike him and almost everyone else loves him.
