• Quick daily speaking routine (5 minutes)

• Ask a simple yes/no question each period: “Do you like apples?”, “Do you like cats?”

• Students answer one by one: “Yes, I do!” or “No, I don’t!”

• Use real objects or pictures to support understanding

• Same sentence structure, changing only the vocabulary

• Builds confidence through repetition

• Shyer students could start by only answering with their thumbs.

• Students listen to easy English actions.

• They move and do the action (stand up, touch the door, etc.).

• They repeat the commands many times.

• Students show their understanding  by moving, not speaking.

• This routine helps develop listening skills and develop comprehension of everyday English.

• Differenciation

  • Say the actions slower or faster depending on the group’s needs.

  • Keep or remove the visual supports on the board.

  • Adjust the timer (more or less) depending on the actions and the group’s needs.
