Marine biologists contribute to society in several ways. Humans depend on resources from the marine such as sea food, water, building materials, and medicines. In fact 70% of protein that humans eat is seafood! Marine biologists make sure that everything is safe with these foods and study what they are doing to make sure it is safe to eat them. Marine biologists study all about the marine life and communicate it with society.

I am interested in this career because I like all the marine life and I love the water so it would be cool to study it. I chose this career because finding all about fish and how they act is very interesting to me and because I have grown up around fish and going to the lake a lot so when I saw this I thought it would be super fun and cool.
