How to work hard 101

Some fellows had planned to start classes from 7 am in the community center. Then, their PM reached the center on the first day to make sure things are in order and to provide whatever support that may be needed. AT 7 AM IN THE MORNING, DURING A PANDEMIC. I was like what?! Itna dedication.

Now just imagine this super hard working and dedicated PM as the SPM of Mumbai team! It is all going to be uphill from here on, I am sure. All the 1st years PMs who will be coached by you are so lucky.

You'll do wonders Caroline, best of luck.

P.S.: Make sure you get enough sleep :)

Words will never be enough to express how much you have done for us. I will always say this, my Fellowship is what it is because of you. You are the best PM and not the best SPM. I am very very lucky to be still working with you. I learn so much from you everyday. Commitment, Resilience, Love. I remember the first day of teaching at summer school all of us got a pen, a chalk on which you had written our names, and a note that said: "What if I fall?... Oh my darling, what if you fly". As you are starting/ have already started your journey as SPM, I want to say the same to you, and hope that it brings you confidence in yourself as it brought me. You deserve this Caroline, and sooo much more. Thank you for making me a better person.

Persistence, faith, patience, endurance are universal feelings and actions that people use to describe their own journey.

You’ve turned these actions and feelings to an approach - towards the people who work with you.

You’ve let me grow at my own pace and my own little / big ways. I get teary eyed when I think about the times you’ve shown me trust and compassion when I didn’t think I deserved it.

You didn’t “make” leaders like the fellowship says.

You brought out the the leaders that already existed in everyone. and that’s a super power.

To let people know they’re seen and believed in In order to grow to their best hidden potential.

Thank you for being such an amazing role model!!!!
Thank you for reassuring me time and again that love is important and it does make a difference.
Thank you for teaching me soooooooo many things and most importantly, thank you for remembering me in your prayers.. (it was definitely needed) :p

I wish you all the best for your journey ahead... A little jealous of sharing the amazing you with more humans but I'm very happy for everybody who will come across you and work with you :)

I try really hard sometimes to think of a time I learnt something from you. These realizations don't come easy to me because you never really taught us anything with your words. You just did things and we picked it up from you without realising how much you've actually taught us. You've not really been Caroline the PM to me. You've just been like a didi but in the form of a PM. You've always outdone yourself and I aspire to be as disciplined, organized, hardworking, kind, and loving as you. I wish I could've spent more time learning from you. I hope this new role not only brings you more joy and satisfaction but also some peace and rest.

I remember how I always used to look up to you when I was a fellow in my first year. How you used to integrate your RC classes with morning meetings and beautiful inquiry questions set a new bar of excellence for me. I feel extremely grateful to you for being my FA and making my RC planning skills strong. You have never ceased to inspire me as a PM and now an SPM.

All the very best for this journey. Never forget that you're a role model to many and are always inspiring people around you.

Caroline,

I thought so much and simply did not know what words could accurately capture the immense feeling of gratitude and pride I have when I think of you in the SPM role. Yes, you are an incredible planner, a brilliant facilitator of spaces a crazy strong trainer and a fantastic manager. But those are not the first things that come to my mind when I think of you in the SPM role. I think of Caroline who is kind, who cares about her people and the children of Mumbai with her whole heart, who is every ready to learn and to say I don't know and to fail and get up and try again... and who will always always think of how the people around her are feeling before anything else. I could go on and on.
It's crazy Caroline... But when I think of where I ended
as as SPM.... I know that is where you are starting. And I am truly in awe. As always... know that I will be around every step of the way if there is ever anything big or small that you need.

Leaving Bombay was an extremely tough decision and the only thing that made it doable was because I knew I was leaving it in your hands. And you will take care of it as if something of your own. You are one of the kindest, most caring person, recently I got to see a very fun side of yours as well. :P I am SO SO proud of what you have become and where you have come in this journey and I am super super excited for you. I dont have the write words to describe how much you to mean to me, what an incredible person you are and the amazing things you are going to do.

In midst of all of this, please take care of yourself, dont let anything get to you and always be happy and enjoy the work. Its going to be a crazy roller costar, try and have fun with it.

Dearest Caroline,
I have heard of your ability of inspiring, motivating and empowering individuals. This added with a DRUM full of KINDNESS and THE GIRL with the KINDEST HEART. I cannot believe I am going to be working with someone who is an incredible human and all the more incredible coach and a mentor.
