He was born on 30 November 1874 in Oxford on the Blenheim Palace. His family was successful. While his father Randolph Churchill was a Lord and a politician with a great potential, was his mother, Lady Randolph Churchill a daughter from an American millionaire. 

Winston Churchill travelled to Cuba under the Cuban War of Independence. He got a commission to write a graphic about the war, but went home again when he got to know that his Nanny possible was going to die. 

Later, he was sent to India in 1896 to work as a soldier as well as a journalist. He was a very successful journalist in India, and this helped him to become a popular writer. 

As well as being a soldier in Pakistan was Churchill sent to Egypt to fight the Battle of Omdurman under the command of General Herbert Kitchener.

Then Churchill began in his political career. First, he was sent to South Africa under the war between Britain and the Boer Republics. There he was kept as a prisoner, but escaped and got back to Britain. 

He became a member of the Parliament for Oldham in 1990. Besides he established himself as a successful politician. He set up Royal Navy Air Service, and learned about flying lessons to understand the potential within military.  

Churchill joined the government as the marine minister in 1939. He wanted to make it difficult for the Germans to attack Britain from the sea. Therefor he wanted to make obstacles, especially in the Norwegian sea. In the 1940 took he over as the prime minister after Neville Chamberlain. 

He was a great speaker just like Adolf Hitler and made people believe in him. He promised the people of Britain that they would fight to the end. The speeches seemed to convince the country’s that had been occupied as well. 

After the success in the second world war has Churchill been the symbol of the British defense and power. He had a fantastic career in the politic, besides he had an education as an officer. On the other hand, was it under the second world war he truly showed his political talent. Already in the 1930^th did he warn about Adolf Hitler and his politic. 

He got married with Clementine Hozier in 1908. They got five kids, even though one died as a child. Churchill had a long and great life. In 1953 got he the noble literature price.
