This meaning the finch cannot eat tribulus seeds if they have a small and weak beak, which is giving them less of a chance to survive. The trait that aloowed the finch to survive was it having a long or deep beak. This means that the finch's population increased because they had the advantage of a better beak depth and length. Which means that their chances of survival are more likely.
