I also put black paint into the deeper cuts to add more depth. I then mixed grey paint for the detailing and attached some metal nuts with hot glue. For example it can be used as a communicator, a map, and operate the controls of the ship. I used a sheet of foam and attached velcro to make the basic shape, then I cut down some more foam for the square piece, and placed a clear strip between them before attaching it all together, to provide depth. It is a dust mask with the tops of 2 litre bottles attached to it. I paper mached over the ends of the bottles to seal them so they could be painted.
