I was then given the responsibility of creating PR packages for Bondi Sands for influencers to receive, alongside writing a handwritten note enclosed within each package. 

 

The next task consisted of assisting in creating PR packages on behalf of Morphe. 5 top makeup influencers were to receive an array of beauty products from the brand. I was given the job of monitoring these 5 influencers' social media pages over the coming weeks to check if they have featured this PR package on their Instagram (stories) accounts.

 

Furthermore, I was also made to go through new inventory (Bondi Sands) and divide them into categories ready to be distributed for future PR and for gearing up for an event hosted by the agency on behalf of Bondi Sands – (rolling out their new products to influencers).

 

The second half of the day involved creating and adding more influencers/contacts onto a seeding list for a new brand to the agency. I researched for a variety of talent and professional make-up artists to add to the roster – who could potentially receive gifting from us on behalf of the new brand.

 

I also assisted the other interns with creating PR/gifting for a makeup brand that would be shipped out to various talent/influencers. 

 

I then assisted in creating PR packages for a new brand for our agency called ‘Pinky Goat.’ – Like previous packages, I had to build the boxes and fill them with the selected products to be sent out to influencers and professional makeup artists.

 

I spent the rest of the afternoon creating PR packages for the brand FFOR as they are departing the agency, so I created 30 PR Packages of all their hair care products to be sent out as a farewell to the brand. These PR packages varied in products such as creating a package for damaged hair, curly/frizzy hair, hair loss and thinning and products curated for hairstylists to use on set.

 

I also monitored the Instagram accounts of the 5 recipients who received the Morphe packages I assisted with on Tuesday. 

 

I then packed away PR packages for Hello Sunday’s launch into Boots stores and assisted with some extra Pinky Goat PR packages. 

 

I then monitored some emails from my seedling list outreach, responded to more influencers regarding gifting, and answered any queries they or their management may have.

 

Along with Stef, we compiled a list of influencers with the following range of 30,000-150,000 on Instagram to invite to a Rawr beauty event being held in the next coming weeks. We studied Rawr’s website and Instagram page to understand what influencers would suit being invited to the event and who would share them on their stories. 

 

I then moved on to picking up/seeding PR Parcels for Krumbled, a collagen beauty bites brand, whilst stocktaking the delivery sent to us. Unfortunately, the brand sent incorrect stock, so I worked closely with the senior account executive to rectify the mistake.

 

I continued checking my emails and responded to anyone I had reached out to from my seeding list for Bulan regarding organic gifting and answering any of their queries.

 

Furthermore, I complied a seeding list of 20 Makeup artists/ beauty influencers with an average of 10K + followers for makeup Ciate who varied in the age range to receive mailers/PR.

 

I seeded parcels for sustainable makeup Eyecha – I handwrote everyone’s name who would be receiving the packages onto a welcome card and packed them away ready to be franked. 

  

Next, I started to create a new seeding list of beauty influencers/MUAs for Ciate by researching profiles on Instagram and TikTok who have an average following of 10,000 +. 

 

I also logged in emails/contact details for various seeding lists who were missing this type of information, so that we could reach out to them to receive gifting from us. 

 

Furthermore, I completed converge checks for the seeding list we mailed out for MIJ, Bondi Sands and Institut skincare to see if anyone had shared the PR gifting onto their social media platforms. 

 

I processed and completed a stocktake on Beauty Bioproducts that had arrived at the agency and organised them into our store cupboards, whilst removing any older stock since the branding had changed. 

 

I assisted the beauty assistant in organising and maintaining the office environment and any other housekeeping tasks that needed to be completed.

 

I packed away PR Packages for a nail polish brand who were sending out seeding for their nail polish colour of the month. 

I then began seeding boxes for the monthly Morphe VIP seeding list, by selecting a range of specific products catered to the individual and packaging them up ready to be franked. 

 

Next, I began to process and organise stock from Champo (shampoos, conditioners, hair oils) and 

completed a stocktake of scrunchies they had sent to us in error. 

 

Next, I completed a stocktake for Bioderma’s new range that we had received into the agency that is being prepared to be seeded and sent out to influencers. I also wrote out comp cards for the packages to introduce and explain the products to the recipients of the seeding list. 

 

I collated a list of 20 + skincare/beauty influencers with an average of 3000-5000 Instagram followers who regularly post PR packages on their stories to receive some of the new Bioderma range. 

 

I helped pack away PR packages for Krumbled, ready to be seeded and franked for recipients to enjoy. 

 

I then assisted in researching and sourcing influencers for MIJ – the brand holds a weekly Livestream video called ‘Behind the MIJ’, inviting different personalities e.g., influencers, authors, presenters etc… to discuss using MIJ products whilst discussing skincare and anything they may have to promote with other personalities. 

 

I sealed and franked mailers for Champo (pronounced sharp-pour) ready to be sent out to influencers and hairstylists to try out. 

 

 I packed 30 mailers for Morphe’s new Gilded Desert collection. This consisted of packing away a palette, bronzer, highlighter and 2 make-up brushes. for MUA and beauty influencers. 

 

I packaged up mailers/PR packages for Ayla Skin and Krumbled ready to be franked and sent out to recipients of the seeding list. 

 

I was given the task of writing a pitch for Hello Sunday’s new SPF face moisturiser packaging. A pitch is a written piece on a selected product that is sent off to a journalist for example via email whereby you advocate any new products coming out. These pitches should be exciting as possible to stand out from the hundreds of other emails they receive per day. I began writing it and have yet to finish it as there is no current deadline. 

 

I also assisted in sending out a seeding list for 2 Morphe packages. This involved scanning the Morphe welcome PR kit to hand-select products that are curated for the recipient. 

 

I packed 4 seeding list packages for XLash for individuals to receive – this involved selecting various products and packing them into a PR box, alongside a hand-written note explaining the products and how to use them.

 

I was taught how to use the franking machine. This is a machine used to post products. 

 

I then assisted Stef in packing 100 Bondi Sands mailers in which individuals would receive Bondi’s new 1-hour express self-tanning foam and 1-hour express face tanning mist., alongside their base range of light/medium, dark and ultra-dark tan. 

 

I then began seeding outreach for Johnny’s Chop Shop (30-35 influencers) – I gathered emails of all the influencers we would be inviting to the store to receive a free haircut and sent out emails asking whether they would like to accept or decline the offer 

 

I collected and researched info on more influencers in relation to Behind the mask for MIJ’s Instagram page.

 

Later on in the day, I attended a meeting with the beauty team led by the Beauty account directors on a pitching 101 session – where they shared 10 top tips on how to pitch products effectively to the press and journalists.  

 

I also popped into Superdrug on Oxford St to take some photos for an Eyecha display (a brand we represent). 

 

I sent off my Hello Sunday pitch for review to our senior account executive (Sophie) for feedback and approval which I am still waiting for and looking very forward to hearing.

 

I then re-organised one of the beauty room cupboards as we had to condense stock to make room for a new brand we are representing. 

 

I packed 5 Orly mailers for their nail polish colour of the month to be sent off to selected recipients. 

 

Furthermore, I began writing a pitch for Ciate London’s colour changing light-reactive core lip gloss product – which is still in progress as there is no set deadline for this. 

 

After that, I continued collating the list of 80 influencers for Champo’s seeding list – which is still in progress. I also am currently placing orders for individuals to whom we reached out last month for organic gifting and then responded with wanting selected products.

 

Next, Sally-Ann Stevens – the founder and CEO of B. The Agency organised a meeting for the interns to meet with her for any queries/advice/questions we may have for her regarding the agency and how to be successful within the PR industry. Sally-Ann emphasised that communication and networking are key to building connections in the industry and doing your best to be known in your profession. She also explained to us how PR works and how brands are approached or approach the agency to become potential clients. 

 

I completed a stocktake for Hello Klean – a brand that recently left our agency to be represented elsewhere. I then packaged it all away ready for it to be collected. 

 

I then packed up 30x Ayla Skin packages for an ongoing seeding list.  I also compiled 2 lists of 25 influencers for the Sienna X May seeding list – one was comprised of individuals who tan and the other for those who curate their Instagram content around beauty and skincare.

 

I also continued to finish my Champo seeding list. 

 

I then assisted in a stocktake for the new brand Institut Estraderm and reorganised the stock so that it was easier to access and ensured that we received the correct amount of stock. 

 

I also put together a goody bag of products for a press appointment for a fashion assistant journalist that consisted of various products from brands we represent. I learnt that this was a form of organic gifting in the hopes that the journalist would test out these products and would potentially promote them through media outlets – meaning our brands gain more exposure.

 

As we ran out of labels for addresses the past couple of days, the majority of the day was spent playing catch up and addressing all the packed PR packages from the past few days and putting them out ready to post. 

 

I also packed an x30 Dr Roebucks seeding list that consisted of two products from the brand’s skincare range and a personalised comp card introducing the brand to the recipients. 

 

I also continued collating on the Champo seeding list for May/June. 

 

As the account executive was off work due to sickness, she tasked me with packing up a x26 influencer mailer for a brand we represent called Bad Habit. I was sent a list of recipients alongside what products they would be receiving to pack into a PR bag to be sent off to them. When products curated specifically for that individual were not available, it was down to my own judgement to decide what alternative products they should receive. Alongside this, they all received a personalised hand-written comp card written by me. 

 

I was also given another task by the account executive to pack a x25 seeding list package for Bondi Sands skincare. This required me to pack away selected products curated by the account executive for the recipients – I received guidance and further assistance from the Beauty PR assistant. 

 

I completed a stocktake for a brand we represent called COLAB. 

 

I also assisted the Beauty PR assistant in packing up a Bondi Sands Hydra mailer (the brand's new launch of SPF products). This consisted of filling each box with shreds, the selected products, a press release and wrapping the box in the customised sleeve for the package to be ready to send. 

 

As one of our brands Hello Sunday is about to celebrate its first birthday – I was a part of the team prepping all parts of their mailer send out. 150 packages are being sent out (50 press/100 influencers), Press is receiving a selection of 5 products, whilst influencers receive 3. In the package, all individuals will also receive a small bottle of wine, a birthday cake, and a card alongside confetti all within the package, as well as their package being wrapped in personalised roll wrap with their faces on them. 

 

I began by constructing the small PR boxes and packing them with the necessary products. 

 

I began by creating goodie bags of all the products and placing them on the seats for the guests to have when participating in the skincare school event. We then brought in Dr Kemi – a dermatologist who was going to lead the skincare school and answer any skin related questions from the guests. I also placed fresh face towels and Alya skin branded headbands at each seat for guests to use for the event. The beauty assistant and I also captured content for the event to go on the agency’s social media pages and to be shared on Alya Skin’s Instagram. 

 

The beauty assistant and I were tasked with welcoming the guests at the front door and directing them to their seats. We were instructed to mingle with the individuals and provide any information regarding the products, as well as make them feel comfortable. Throughout the event, we were both on hand to assist anyone with anything they needed. Once the skincare class had ended, we then continued to network with the guests/influencers.

 

Once the event was over, we then began clearing up the event space by packing all products away and taking down any posters and waited for the courier to pick these up for us to unpack away at the office. 

 

I found and filled out emails for a Slick Hair Co. mailing list of influencers for outreach – this was to enquire whether they would like to receive products from us on the brand's behalf. 

 

I assisted the senior account manager with packaging x80 mailers for a Velvotan send out. This consisted of packing a back applicator and 4 tanning mits of different designs into a pink jiffy bag. 

 

 

I helped one of the beauty assistants with collating a seeding list of 40 influencers for Bioderma’s June send out. 

 

I helped the account director with retrieving Ayla Skin products for the event the following day. 

 

I then assisted the beauty assistant with creating a seeding list (x20) for Bioderma for the SPF range that focussed on mummy influencers whose Instagram pages are dedicated to their family and enjoying holidays/being out in the sun.

 

Next, I packed an x25 seeding list send out for Institut skincare which consisted of a mixture of their core and expert range. 

 

I conducted some gallery research regarding Lash Serums. In this scenario, I used an advanced google search on Lash serums that have been featured in any online magazine website i.e., “10 best lash serums you should try” – I recorded the article and journalist for the beauty executive to contact the journalist to potentially gain product placement for a brand we represent called XLash.
