Before this unit, I never really thought about why or how time zones were created. I now know that they were created because of the spread of railroads. After the Transcontinental Railroad was finished, people began to ship their goods across the country; However, when people would give times for the arrival of goods, it would not add up. One of those is that throughout my life. I have seen a huge change in technology. When I was younger my parents had flip phones, and we had only one computer in our house. Now that I am older, and technology has advanced, my parents and I all have a cellphone, and my entire school has a laptop provided to them for class work.
