Reece added another point to these with Curtains. Curtains are a way to close the windows to keep other views out of a certain community, culture, or world. - Close approximations are not good enough as they are foggy mirrors that reflect only vague contours of the identities and lived experiences that comprise a child's reality
- A student's identity is a rich mosaic of experiences, value's perspectives, and cultural  ways of knowing, being, doing, and communicating. To get proper mirrors for our students we must understand our students.

Books can act as a guide for a child's life.
