A: Site URLs may betray the framework and/or programming language but cannot be relied upon (e.g. file extensions such as .asp). HTTP response headers, cookies, style sheets and source comments may also give clues.

Why are domain names preferred over IP addresses?
A:For the same reason you use names instead of IPs for Google, or Yahoo, or Amazon: so that if the IP of the server changes, they only need to update the DNS record, and you the customer don't have to do anything at all.

Explain where the domain name appears in a website address
A: The websites domain name appears in the top website address bar with the header http or https when secured following :// and then having the domain name follow with the top-level domain like .com or .co.uk which are the leading two in the world. There may be some following text thereafter but that is just the sub categories of the website.

What must be considered if the user mistypes the website address?
A:  A good domain name should be short, easy to say, type and remember. If you were to speak your domain name on the radio, listeners should be able to recall your domain hours later and type it accurately into their browser. If they can then it passes the radio test. Having a good “radio” domain is especially important for businesses that rely on word-of-mouth advertising.

What else can be considered if the user mistypes the website address
A: The user may be redirected to a similar webpage that has been registered in the misspelled website address or the user may not be redirected to a website at all.
