I don’t think it’s good for parents to pressure their children to follow their footsteps in career. I feel that children aren’t the same as their parents so they shouldn’t need to have the same jobs as their parents. Children should be able to choose what they want to be. Their parents shouldn’t choose. The top five qualities I admire the most in other are caring, funny, sympathetic, kind, brave. People should be caring so they can comfort people that are sad. People should be funny to make you laugh. People that are sympathetic can notice when your sad and sympathies with you. People that are kind helps you through things and can help make you sad. Education in other words, and not earthly possessions, is the ultimate legacy, the only thing that cannnot be taken away.” Dr. Werner von Brawn. This quote is saying that education is not a material item therefore it can’t be taken away. Education is the only thing that you can give a kid that can never removed. Education is the one thing that every parent should give to their child.

The second epigraph states, “All I’ve done is give you a book. You have to have the courage to learn what’s inside it.” Miss Freida Joy Riley. This epigraph is saying that the book is what you make of it. They have given us the book now it’s our choice if we want to read what’s inside it and learn about it. She can’t force us to read the book, we have to decide if we want to read It or not. In this quote Sonny is explaining that a mother role to a kid is to “straighten them up.”
Straighten them up is referring to when a child is being disruptive, a mom will make it so the child wouldn’t do it again. A mom is supposed to get her child ready for the world. “Mom had completely adopted her into the family and, as I knew she would, took care of her as she did all the other animals, feedingher  and spending hours picking fleas out of her coat,”(Hickman Jr. 76) In this quote, Sommer is explaining how a mother cat cares for her family.
