The  precarious nature of the informal employment sector presents an urgent need for those informally employed to start saving early for their retirement benefits and not to hope that they will fall back to social assistance mechanisms provided by the government and other humanitarian organisations. 

There is therefore the need to create continuous advocacy initiatives and ensure they cast a wide net to reach to the uninsured who mostly form a big chunk of the 'missing middle'. 
In creating these advocacy initiatives, it is essential to partner with all the associations for the various informal employment industries.
