One of the biggest problems of farming in UAE is limited water supply due to desert conditions. This has led to low crop yield.

However, this could be solved by using irrigation method of watering crops. For example drip irrigation which has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants.
