- concept: patterns
1. pattern cards will be given to the children (first card; 2 colours, second card; 3 colours etc)
2. the children will have to set the correct coloured bears on top of the matching colour to create a pattern
3. the last circle is left empty for the children to identify the subsequent bear following the pattern

first to 100 (6-7 years)
- concept: addition
1. 2 groups of children are given 1 piece of paper each
2.  the groups will take turns to roll a dice and record the numbers on the dice on the piece of paper

2) Teacher lay out the AB Pattern mat and then provide different coloured blocks to the children.

Activity 1: Snap cards 

Level 1: 

1)      Each child take a stack of cards with numbers from 1-20 
2)      Then take turns to place the card and if same number cards appear concurrently, first person to say snap wins. 

 

Level 2: 

1)      Teacher can say snap the number that adds up to 10 
2)      Student repeat the placing of cards and if their cards add up to 10, first person to say snap wins. 

Activity 2: Ice cream stick math 

1)      Teacher will place a bunch of ice cream stick 
2)      Teacher will pair the students 
3)      Teacher will ask a math question in random, for example, 7+7 is equal to? 
4)       The first pair to show the correct number of ice cream stick wins a point
