I had thanksgiving dinner at my favorite diner. I got to visit the 6th street bridge. It was empty on the holiday. It was quiet and peaceful. I video chatted with my friends in different states and we laughed a lot. I took the train downtown with a friend and we had an adventure. I applied to an art residency for summertime. I am grateful.

We slept there and the next day we went home and had our first Thanksgiving of the year with some people from my Mom’s side like the cousin and wife that came, my other cousin (his sister), my aunt and grandma along with my Mom, sister, and brother. I made apple pie and two pumpkin pies. Then on Thursday I went to my Dad’s side and we got to hangout with out cousins. Then on Sunday I hung out with my sister and friend then we all baked cookies. I got to build my tree which was broken cause the lights didn’t work. And to make everything better yesterday was my dog’s birthday!

I took a few pictures but really I just took in everything without taking pictures. Up there I just love the landscape and climate. Where my cousins live, just a 5-10 minute drive away is rural farm land and it is stunning. The rolling hills with oak trees covering them is very pretty and it just makes me comfortable. I don't know if its just me liking it or the fact that I grew up there but it just calms me down, even if there are troubles in front of me. My family helped me leave an abusive relationship with fake friends and that I am very grateful for. I have tried to leave before but I would always come crawling back but they helped me a lot and I am praying that I don't go back on my decision. I went shopping very briefly on black friday with my cousin who went to Sportsmans Warehouse to get a new rangefinder and look at tripods.
