-Intended to petrify a population, by destruction, assassination. and kidnapping.

1.Who funded this organization? Led by the United States and the United Kingdom

2. Who runs this organization? The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) works against terrorism

3. What is their mission? Working to stop terrorism in the US

4. What strategies/programs are they using? They came up with the program The War on Terror; countries are working together to put a stop to terrorism

5. Why are these strategies effective/ineffective? Personally, I don't think that this organization is helping anything. For example; Osama bin Laden, they finally caught him and killed him. It's the only way, but in those countries anytime a leader is killed, there's always another back up leader right away. In countries where terrorism is more rapid than others, it's their belief, you can't simply change ones belief and immediately put a stop to this.

DFAIT, the RCMP, CSIS, the Department of
National Defense and the Canadian Forces (DND/CF) and the Canadian International
Development Agency.

3. What is there mission (who/what/where)?

To build resilience against terrorism

4. What strategies/programs/protects are they using to meet this objective?

The Strategy they use has four elements:

prevent individuals from engaging in terrorism

detect the activities of individuals and organizations who may pose a terrorist threat

deny terrorists the means and opportunity to carry out their activities

respond proportionately, rapidly and in an organized manner to terrorist activities and mitigate their effects

5. Why are these strategies effective or ineffective?

I think that these strategies are effective, they are not going to stop terrorism but when terrorist attacks happen they will be able to respond quickly and effectively. I think that the strategies they are using might actually slow down terrorism.
