US Congress did not follow the typical cross examination genre, question and answer and allowing for explanations. Instead they went with the yes/no route which is very absolute and forces Chew down a specific narrative. It does not allow him to explain particular nuances.

Chew does not fall for the trap and avoid answering an absolute yes or no.
