Living Deliberately means taking initiative in life, with every situation. Not being afraid of what comes next but having the intent of bettering yourself and the world. Living deliberately means finding your purpose in life and pursuing it with all of your heart, it means putting 110% into every thing you do. We see it in the world around us when there are people who make it from the bottom with no help but their hands and feet. Change is happening all the time, regardless of how we act or what we do, change will happen, and we can choose to lay down and let it run over us or use that change to build ourselves into success. Take initiative in life throughout all change and overcome all obstacles. Living deliberately is putting our big boy and big girl pants on and taking life on.

To live deliberately is to live life with intent. Now that could mean many different things to many different people. For me I live deliberately by seeing the world and its many beautiful places and amazing experiences. However, with the new world wide pandemic we are to stay in our houses and keep safe and healthy. Adjusting to this new change has been extremely difficult for me, and I am still adjusting to it, and soon I hope this whole thing is over. I can’t see the wonderful places the world has to offer now but I will live on through all of this one day at a time, with hope for tomorrow. The poem by Emily Dickinson relates to our question because living deliberately for a person might mean having hope. Hope that is constant even in the face of danger, or getting squashed. Hope that is in the darkest of places. Hope that can be seen and heard by others so that they may have hope as well. A person in my life that illustrates hope is my grandma. She is always so positive about the future, and nothing can get her down.

Living deliberately means to do things in life with intent. To know what you are doing and to follow through with it. Doing things you may not normally do. Right now it is harder to live deliberately as, it is recommended that we stay at home, so it is harder to go out and do things with friends or otherwise. You can respond to change by instead of accepting it like a defeat you can adapt to it and make it like it was part of the plan all along. Emily Dickinsons poem relates to this as it talks about how hope powers through struggle and change, and that is what it is like to live deliberately, change eventually becomes the new normal and then you've beaten it. I think a person that captures this illustration of hope is my little brother, when we first moved to Bentonville five years ago he took it in stride and didn't complain, he powered through and has now made the change a part of his everyday life.

To live deliberately means living with a certain target of intentions and for things that you complete in a lifetime that the path you followed was created by you. To grasp hold of priority to find the true really meaning of life in your very own way other than having others affecting it because its your own life not society's. For appreciating others on are own scale not again how society sees them and judges them for the good or bad of who they are.
Ways of change for us to overall respond to change so that we are living deliberately is to show that we as people can become comfortable with certain uncertainty as something as we know it can have more difficulty than other things but it comes with understanding that really everything happens for a reason to have a certain flow because something we need to understand that is life. Dickinson really relates to our question because we all live deliberately and in the poem it shows how people have hope that we have to have hope in the brightest and the darkest parts of life so we need to be wiling to share with others. A person that shows hope is my nana because she always built others up and always gave people the certain truth if they needed it.

In my opinion, living deliberately means to live in a way in which every action you take has purpose. A deliberate life should be a fulfilling life to that person, whether that be them pursuing a passion like art, or working a desk job that they feel is very helpful. I personally believe my dad relates very well to this poem. He does a job which is very high stress and long hours, but he does it because it helps a lot of people. Sometimes he will work from 7 am to 8 pm, even right now when he is working from our house. When he finishes working, he does everything he can to make the most out of the time he has in the day. So, he doesn't just do something like go on his phone, he lives in the moment and connects with the people around him. I think this is a good example of deliberate living because he is making the most of every situation handed to him instead of doing things that wont make him happy in the future. I can embrace change more instead of being afraid of it in order to live more deliberately.

Living Deliberately means living with the intent to do something. The themes in Emily's Poem are about hope, and that it never seems to stop. This could be connected to living deliberately because it shows how the world needs hope and this allows us to start to live deliberately because it gives purpose. This is seen in "Just Mercy" when the police assigned to the case go with the easiest option instead of really figuring out the true solution. The lifestyle of living deliberately is seen in the world today from people like Bryan Stevenson. I think there can be two groups of people, one group that will do whats right even if its not the easiest or most popular choice, and the other group will do the opposite. Another easy example in the world today, that is right in front of us is the sickness going around. The people that are living deliberately are going to great lengths to protect the world and limit the consequences. Dickinson's poem relates to this because it talks about how we should never stop. This meaning that we should never give up on living deliberately. A person in my life that lives reflects what the poem is talking about is my grandfather. He does not give up and he strives to make the world a better place.

From my point of view, in order to live deliberately, one has to have a lasting positive effect on those around them and further influence others. Living deliberately goes beyond simple existence, instead living with a drive and a purpose. This lifestyle has been shown in today’s world through the YOLO (You Only Live Once) mentality, where people do crazy things or things that they might not normally do because they only have one life to do it in. In regard to responding to change, one must put a positive spin on whatever change is being experienced, even if the change itself is negative in character. This positive spin will allow the person to live deliberately and keep everything that is happening connected to their overall goal and purpose. Dickenson's poem relates to the above question by showing how the concept of hope exists in one form or fashion in all of our lives. Having hope through change can bring about a state of mind that can influence one to live more deliberately in the future. Someone in my life that captures Dickinson's illustration of hope in my life, as well as my vision of living deliberately would be my friend Max De Loach. He has definitely impacted me to bring positivity to everyone that I can, and from my experience just listening to someone or making them smile can have a greater impact than material things.

To live deliberately it means to live strategically, with every situation and seek good intentions. You seek out the path that you want and where you want to go and develop strategies to get to your goal. We’re able to see this lifestyle when people try to focus on a certain goal and they try their best not to take risks and not compromise their goals when they start but going forward they end up resetting their strategies and make comprises to get to their goals. Even if the goal is big or small it doesn’t matter as long as they are able to achieve their goals. We can choose to respond to change so that we are living deliberately is that we decide to be safe when working and try our best to set our own goals and make those choices but also be strategic and thing with intention rather than do things with no thought.
Dickinson's poem relates to living deliberately because it mentions hope. Having hope in even the darkest places in your life or even the highest of the highs in your life.
A person that illustrates hope in my life is my mom, even through tough times and situations she tries her best and never gets down on her self and always tries to do good to better improve the situation that she's presented in.

To live deliberately means to be intentional with our decisions and that there is purpose supporting each decisions.A decisions that benefits us the most and shouldn’t be affected by our peers around us. Living deliberately means having full authority over our destiny. It means consciously making an effort to better yourself in way that actively helps other around. To prioritize what's and important. Whether it means to reflect back, so that we can move forward. I see this lifestyle with the people starting a new chapter in their lives, and see them overcome challenges make them independent. I can respond to change and live deliberately my following my own advice and reflecting back on my experiences to prioritize what's important.
3)Dickinson's poems relates to the question because that having hope is her definition of living deliberately.

The themes expressed in Dickinson's poem are abstemiousness and hope. Living deliberately means to live with purpose. You become aware of your actions and the consequences of your actions. Because of this you can make well informed and analytical decisions. It also allows you to really understand your place in the world and how you affect others around you. I think that as humans we are mostly reactive and therefore when confronted with change, we recognize it as an obstacle with two solutions: embrace or reject. By living deliberately, the notion of binary solutions is eliminated and you are able to understand and make decisions from the big picture. You are able to understand the complexities of an issue and how that change is going to impact the world as a whole. I can choose to respond to change to live deliberately by taking a less binary and emotional approach to decision making. By taking a step back, and with patience, decisions can be made more effectively and be better thought out. Dickinson relates to the poem because the object in the poem is living deliberately by not taking much in terms of greed or materialism, and is in sync with the nature around it. I think that nature is inherently practices living deliberately. One person in my life that lives deliberately is my mom. She lives her life with purpose and she has a strong understanding of the world and how it all fits together. She is a optimistic person and she has hope for a better tomorrow.

Living deliberately means to live with a purpose and goal in mind always. It means to never be coasting in life, to never go through a daily routine without the intent making a difference. You see this lifestyle exemplified in activists, people leading revolts against unjust governments, and charity workers. However, you also see it in seemingly regular people. Volunteer workers, foster parents, and teachers all live deliberately. It is the act of living for something other that your own personal success that represents this lifestyle. The best way to respond to change to live deliberately is to stand up for what you value, and fight against what stops it. The poem relates to this lifestyle greatly, because it involves steadfast hope no matter the circumstances. Living deliberately is continuing to fight for your values despite what comes in your way and attempts to beat you down. That is where having that hope is important, to push you forward and remind that it is for something bigger than yourself. A person that demonstrates living deliberately in my life is cousin Elizabeth. She spent a long time in a small village in India as a missionary, enduring poor conditions in order to bring resources and happiness to less fortunate. Following a stroke that left her half paralyzed, she continues to bring hope and happiness, regardless of the terrible situation she was given in life.

How do we live deliberately seems to be the question on the world's mind today. We are isolated from those around us. Human interaction is natural and we crave it. I have had many changes and sorrows in my life, like any other. I find change is best reacted to with service. Whether you serve yourself by taking time to go outside and enjoy the weather. Or someone else, by taking someone food, sending a quick text of comfort, or simply listening to what they have to say. To live deliberately is to live for others and for what is around you.

Dickenson's poem truly encapsulates my words before. Its about service and the hope it brings. I love when it mentions what you gain and what you lose. You get lasting happiness and it never takes more than a moment or a bit of your resources. We can all take a note from Dickenson's poem and serve a little more.

The sign language really caught me off guard. I knew a few of the movements from a song in my church that we sing using sign language. My mother taught me the movements and that made me think of how much she does for those around her. I see her weep for the losses we have sustained globally and take her circumstances to serve those around her. Last week she made chicken soup with homemade noodles for my voice instructor with COVID-19. She has a saying, "Happiness is a choice." I love and appreciate all she does for me and her shining impression on the world.

Living deliberately means to live with intention. I am very big into my faith and I work at my church so almost every day I get to be around and be influenced so well by some amazing people all living their lives deliberately. Whether it is being a helping hand to someone who needs it, having a shoulder to cry on, or just speaking word over the parts of our lives we just want to give up and stop being intentional, I see them step up every day and live their lives deliberately so others can do the same. Dickinson says in her poem that hope is never stopping. I think that if you are going to live deliberately you can not pick and choose when. It is an all of the time action that you either are living by or you are not. One of my best friends, Zac, is such a light in my world. He cares for people so much and never says or does anything without the intention of helping or just being kind. He never stops working on himself and that is one of the biggest things that relate him to Dickinson's poem.

Living deliberately means to live life at ones pace. A person is able to follow a path they created and overcome any obstacle that may come in their way. They are able to use change as a means to improve their life for the better. I think Dickinson's poem relates to our essential question because it shows how some people live deliberately simply through hope or by helping others. Hope is something everyone has, and it can bring people through bad times. People can live deliberately by helping others and being selfless. They can make it a purpose in their life to make other's lives better. A person in my life that illustrates hope and living deliberately is my mom. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, my mom has shown hope everyday that everything will soon be okay. She goes to work everyday at her pharmacy and helps others with a positive attitude and strives to see the good in all situations.

Living deliberately means living with a response to every event as if it was designed for you. Living your life with a purpose in mind and taking action according to this purpose creates a deliberate lifestyle. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it. I see this through my mom, especially during recent events. She is the director of hospice at Washington Regional and is currently going through a period of uncertainty due to the coronavirus. She responds to all of the changes to her lifestyle and job as if it was intentional to better her as a person. It is important to respond to all changes this way, as a lesson or challenge instead of a burden or obstacle. Dickinson's poem relates strongly to this because having hope plays into the mindset of change being required for anything good to occur. If you hold onto hope for the best, you are more likely to see the good in a situation instead of viewing the situation as a burden and through a negative light.

Living deliberately means knowing your purpose and fulfilling it. Being determined to do what is right and striving for that goal is important. I see this type of lifestyle in people to make it their life's mission to help others. A way I could respond to change so that I’m living deliberately is I could keep what I believe is right and act accordingly. If something wrong is happening, I could fight for change. Or, if something very good was happening in the world, I could embrace it. Dickinson's poem relates to question above because it illustrates that someone living deliberate doesn't just talk, but they take action. They won't stop until they do everything in their power to do what is right in helping others. Her poem also suggests that someone living deliberately doesn't ask for things in return from people. They help out of the kindness in their heart. One of my friends captures this idea of living deliberately because they make sure everyone around them doing good and nothing is wrong. They want to make sure that everyone is happy and if there was something wrong she would do whatever she could to help them.

To me, living deliberately means to live life to the fullest and do everything with intention. In my opinion, life is what you make it so if you work hard you will succeed and anything you out you mind to can be accomplished. When living life deliberately, you should try to make the most of every situation and do everything to the best of your ability. I see this through my parents and other people that are closely related to me. I see how passionate they are about their jobs and how they really do live with no regrets. I can respond to change by adapting so that I can still live life to the fullest regardless of what is going on in the outside world. Emily Dickonson's related to this question because the majority of her poem related to many of the themes that I want to put toward my everyday life as well as showing themes that relate to living life deliberately. The theme that I really like though was how she showed that regardless of what is happening in the outside world, we are in charge of our future and we need to stay strong and hopeful during these times.

2.) I think that to live deliberately one must help others and try to make things better for the right reasons. They shouldn't be doing it for an outcome for themselves but to truly try to make the world a better place. Even when one might have to go out of their own way to do something for another person they are doing it and living with a purpose that is very clear. In the world around us I see people living deliberately through volunteering, leaders, and many companies that are trying to help with our worlds current situation.
3.) Dickinson's poem relates to living deliberately because the bird in that poem was a perfect example of living deliberately. The bird was there through many hard times and never asked the person for even a single crumb.
4.) A person in my life that captures Dickinson's illustration of hope and my vision of living deliberately is Bud. Bud is my guardian and has done many things to help my sisters and brothers. He is there through the hard times and never asks for anything in return. He lives deliberately because he sponsors several men that are alcoholics and does it out of the kindness of his heart.

To me living deliberately means to live life making clear and concise decisions no matter how small. And also to be the better person that others can look up to. We can see this way of living deliberately in people today just seeing the choices they make no matter how small. From picking trash on the side of the road, to choosing to be the better person in a time of hardship so people can have a role model. And in order to live deliberately in response to change, you can't be afraid to choose to take action in times of need even though it won't be an easy option to make. Emily Dickinson's poem related to this as well. She conveyed that even in hard times, hope will always manage to take flight and carry us through those situations. to a new and better day. A person in my life that relates to this is my mother. She raised me and my sister as a single mother through the majority of our lives. She always showed us how to be the better person even in rough times, and she was always nice to people she met. And that's how she influenced my view on what it means to live deliberately.

To me, living deliberately means that you follow a path, but you designed it yourself. I see this around the world through people setting goals for themselves to accomplish. For example, someone might be studying VERY hard for their 4 years of high school, in order to go to Harvard or Princeton. I can choose to change by setting goals for myself and my life, and that will help me to live deliberately and feel more accomplished. Dickinson's poem relates to this theme because her poems all have the subject of death, and are symbolic on the importance of living. In this case, it would be to live deliberately and make your death "not in vain", and live life to the fullest. One person in my life that captures this is my friend. She is very christian and "lives life to the fullest". She tries to make people happy all around her, and puts others before herself because it brings her hope for the future and happiness to herself.

To live deliberately means to have a good purpose with everything that you do. This could look different for many people but, I believe to do this you must always have good intentions to help yourself and others. No matter how hard your life might get and all the trials you may go through, your going to continue to fight for your purpose and to do the right thing for yourself and others. I see this in the world through people I look up to, like people in my church. We can respond to change in an optimistic way. To simply try to have a more positive outlook o life. Dickinson's poem relates to this question because she is a fighter. She has fought her way through these trials to make a better life for herself and never got off track of her purpose. Someone who I think captures this is my mom. She is very selfless and does whatever she can to help other people.

I believe to live deliberately one must be allowed to choose the way that they live their life. I see this lifestyle all around me, but recent events, however, have made this rare as many millions of people are confined to their homes. And thus, not living deliberately. Moreover, looking inwards, I think I can respond to change in many ways. For example, I always catch myself wanting to try and get back into my comfort zone and not embrace change. However, I have come to learn change can be for the better. Personally, when it comes to change I will always try and embrace it as long as I am always free in the way I choose to live my life in the future. For example, if someone offers me a million dollars and the chance to drop a fire single with 21 savage in exchange for chopping off all four of my limbs, I am definitely not going to choose to chop off the limbs. Because of course, I know I am going to spend the million dollars and yes the single will be pretty awesome, I also know that I am not going to be able to live my life to the fullest potential in the future because of this enormous change. As for Dickinson, I think her poem relates to our question because I feel she too has a strong sense of freedom. A person in my life that illustrates a strong sense of freedom is my uncle. He is the most free and outgoing person I have ever met. He is always carefree and tries to have fun no matter the situation.

During this difficult time, it can be easy to neglect all the things you need to work on or the things that make you happy and just sit around. But this won’t accomplish anything. We have to accept the current situation and continue to work hard for our goals. I see it around within the people still perfecting their crafts during this time. Like artists or musicians. Its inspiring to see people love something so much that they pour everyday into it. That’s what I’d like to do. Emily Dickonson's poem further proved this. She showed how we can make our way through change and hard times when we hold hope close. It's a good thing to remember through difficult times.

Living deliberately is choosing to live a life that you want no matter the kind of obstacles. An essential part of achieving the life you want is just the hope that you can get any type of point you desire. This connects to Dickson's poem which is about how everyone has some hope inside them for a greater life no matter if it’s rain or shine. I think a good example of a person embodying these characteristics in my life has been one of my church leaders who has gone through some especially rough times yet remains as probably one of the kindest people on the planet.

To live deliberately means to make sure everything you do is in the best benefit for yourself. Every decision made throughout your life, and future for that matter, leads you to a range of different situations which require more choices to be made. The options that you chose need to be thought through about where it will lead you and eventually how it will affect you in your future. To be sure you are living deliberately just take into consideration everything you have, and how lucky you are to have all of it, try to see positivity in everything you do. This is easier said than done but it’s all about the attitude you put towards what you do daily. Living deliberately could mean something different to many people. For some it could be going with the flow and let life carve their path that way, for others, they might want to take charge and carve their path themselves with passion.

Dickinson expresses this theme of living deliberatly in her poem through the symbolism of a bird and some crumbs. The poem says that hope is the wings in the soul. To me this means that if you look deep enough into anybody that they too have wings that allow them to soar.

Someone in my life who lives deliberatly based on Emily Dickinson's writing is my grandmother. She is the most selfless person I have ever met. She could be going through such a difficult time and still approach anyone with a smile on her face asking how they are. She always stays positive and it really inspires me to be just like her.

To live deliberately means to live with a planned purpose, a path you designed for yourself. I see this in the lives of my family, friends, and myself. The way I live deliberately is by working towards my goal of seeing the world. Now, even though our world is hiding behind closed doors, I've never lost hope in seeing everything and have learned to accept our harsh reality; I have even adapted to the change by picking up photography. Now I've decided to start my adventure by exploring and recording my small world before taking on the giant one waiting for me.
The Emily Dickinson poem, "Hope is the Thing with Feather," relates to our essential question in the meaning that we need to hope to continue following our chosen paths. The hope that resides in us helps liberate us and gives us the strength to continue forward.
My family friend is someone who resembles this type of lifestyle. At the start of her bodybuilding career, she was this sassy, stubborn, determined, petite woman working out in a gym with these giant build guys. Everything about these guys was intimidating: deeply toned figures, enormous strength, and years of experience. Although everything about was nerve-racking and their occasional discouraging remarks, she never lost hope, she never lost sight of her dream. After 4 years of careful planning, excruciating training, diets, and competition, she rose to the top. Now she's a well-known female bodybuilder that is highly respected.

2.) To live deliberately means to live conciously and to be mindful about all of your actions and everything around you. I see this life style in more calm and genuine people. I think its funny that my mind thinks of meditation and yoga when I think of mindful living and living deliberately. One who lives deliberately chooses to respond to change and new beginnings with positive actions and open arms.
3.) Dickson's poem compares hope to a bird that nest in ones soul. This bird is always there and could be knocked down from the storm but can still survive and give us that warm safe feeling. Livign deliberately is definetly a choice just like having hope is a choice, but when you choose to carry these things within you and allow them to nest within your soul they allow relief and peace of mind to come along with them.
4.) In my life the perfect example of living deliberately that captures the hope from Dickinson's poem would be my sister. My sister is five years older than me and has always helped me grow. My sister has gone through many rough patches through her highschool and college experiances, but she continues to intentionally accept the change as a challenge and help other with their own changes.
