I designed my portrait to try and make myself seem approachable. This is a very high achieving school, and the teachers DON'T want someone who makes waves. So I included some personal information to humanize myself, mentioned my interests so they can see I can help with more than just research and books, and made my goals for the library clear so they know I'm not pushing them to do anything they don't want. I also made a logo and business card reminding them who I am and giving them my contact information. I put these in everyone's mailboxes, and so far I have received lots of positive feedback and have had several teachers stop by just to say "hi" and introduce themselves.
