Every summer in Tromsø, Norway, we gather young talents from across the world to create short films, learn from each other, and build a community across borders. NUFF is all about youth voices, bold stories, and the power of film to connect people.

NUFF is organized by Tvibit and has been running since 2002.

By moving the festival to summer, we want to inspire everyone participating in the workshop — and create a space where watching and making films go hand in hand.

On Monday and Tuesday, we will have a breakfast buffet at Tvibit, and from Wednesday to Friday, we will have breakfast to go available at Tvibit.

Lunch and dinner are served at Tvibit (check daily schedule for times)

This is Tiina’s second NUFF and her first-ever NUFF workshop, and she’s excited to be part of the action and meet all of you creative people.

She keeps things organized, solves problems before they become problems, and helps the rest of the team focus on making NUFF awesome.

Outside of the festival, Tiina enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons (often with Axel and Eskil!), reading, traveling, going to festivals, and spending time with dogs.

This is Axels second NUFF workshop and third festival, but fun fact: he only officially became project lead for NUFF after last year’s workshop – and now he’s already stepped into a new role as head of the film department at TVIBIT.

When he’s not working with film, Axel enjoys Dungeons & Dragons, painting minifigures, pizza, and hanging out with dogs (bonus points if he can do all at once).

Kateryna has been with NUFF for three years, and can help you with almost everything!

Tromsø Airport is very close to the city center, and it's easy to get from there to your accommodation.

🚌 By bus:
When you arrive at the airport, take the elevator down to the parking garage. Walk straight through it toward the road, then cross the road to find the bus stop.

You can take:

• Line 40 (direction Tromsø Museum) – get off at WiTo

• Line 26 (direction Tromsdalen via Sentrum) – get off at WiTo

Both stops are in the the city center and close to the hotels.

Verdensteatret is where the NUFF Festival takes place!

Join us here for film screenings on Saturday June 21st and Sunday June 22nd, where we’ll be showing a wide range of exciting youth films from the Nordic region and beyond.

On Friday June 27th, we return to Verdensteatret to premiere the films created during the workshop – your time to shine on the big screen!

Don’t miss it – the cinema is open to all!

Tvibit is our main base throughout the workshop period.

All meals are picked up and/or eaten here, and this is also where you'll find all the equipment you need for filming. Editing and post-production happen here too – so get comfortable, you'll be spending a lot of time at Tvibit!

Feel free to ask the Tvibit Staff if you need help finding anything – this is your creative home for the week!

Most participants are staying at Skaret by Vander aparthotel.

All participants have the right to use the film they helped create during the workshop in their portfolio, showreel, or CV, and may also screen the film or submit it to film festivals, provided it is done in a non-commercial context. Tvibit Film, as the organiser and financier, retains non-exclusive rights to the film, limited to promoting NUFF and related non-commercial film activities. In the event of any disputes between participants regarding the film, Tvibit Film reserves the right to make final decisions concerning its use and distribution.

In his spare time he enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons (just like Tiina and Axel), hardcore gaming, singing, game development and being a silly goose. He has an unhealthy obsession with 3D-printing and painting.

We end NUFF 2025 with a proper celebration: pizza, cake, and music from DJ Dina Konradsen.

This is Mathildes 7th NUFF!

She is currently renovating a house by herself and has a little black dog that looks like a fox.

I’m an all-around photographer with experience in event, automotive, street, and nature photography. Whether it's the high energy of a live concert, the raw vibe of the streets, the stillness of nature, or the sleek lines of a car, I aim to bring out the unique character in every shot.
