Assessment tools were another session of this module. I personally learned so much from this. In the beginning we were asked to wtite what we think assessment tools are?Different ideas were displayed on the padlet. Later, the lecturer discribed why we assess?what we assess? And how we assess? These were very significant to learn about assessment. And also characteristics of assessment tools were displayed such as Reliability, validity, and educational impact. The timing of assessment was also discussed.

A quote of Benjamin Franklin was presented which states that "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn". This speech is very true about student-centered. It is very important to engage students in the learning process so that they can get maximum level of understanding.

A quote of Benjamin Franklin was presented which states that "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn". This speech is very true about student-centered. It is very important to engage students in the learning process so that they can get maximum level of understanding.

Pedagogical change in assessment was illustrated by the lecturer. In the traditional teaching method, the aim was controlling and managing. However, in the new teaching process the aim is to support learning process. Before, the only assessing time was at the end of the course. While, nowadays various assessment tools are used throughout the whole course. The teacher was the only person who could assess in the old method. However, now students can also participate in the assessing process and also in designing the assessments. There are several assessment types for this purpose such as (Self-assessment, Peer-assessment, and also assessment and feedback from networks).

Different assessment types were presented such as (Diagnostic, Formative, Summative, Confirmative, Norm-Referenced, Criterion-Referenced, Ipsative, Interim) assessments.

The assessment methods and their importance were also discussed and which assessment methods should be used? Also direct and indirect methods were presented. Direct methods are (tests, essays, presentations, etc.). While indirect include surveys and interviews.

It is very important to use multiple methods to assess students learning outcomes. Including both qualitative and quantitative methods. Another important point is to show both strengths and weaknesses through the assessment.

Assessment of knowledge helps us make a decision about learners whether they fit to a practice or not. It is conducted by using several tools such as ( multiple choice question, short answer question, modified essay question, oral presentation, cases and open problems, etc.)

Assessment of performance is another way to assess which helps us measure individual skills by doing an actual task such as activities, exercises, or problems). It is conducted by the means of (Case studies, project bases learning, field trips, lab experimentation, and graduation projects).

There is also assessment of attitude which is based on emotions. It is conducted by the means of (self-assessment, 360-degree feedback, and peer-assessment).

Rubric was also one of the important subjects which were discussed in this session. It is a significant tool used to assess several kinds of assignments such as (written, projects, oral, and more).

Different presentations were displayed by the learners about different teaching methods. They were all discussed with examples and how they can be applied in real life of teaching. There were so many interesting rubric designs.

In my personal opinion this module was useful since all the materials were directly related to the learning process. For me as a teacher I've learned so many useful subjects. Rubrics are the most important to me since by using rubrics there will not be any bias and the learners will be assessed equally. The more accurate rubric, the more helpful to the students. The rubrics will help the students evaluate their own work by themselves. They can also evaluate each other's assessments. By this they will participate in the assessing process.
