He never had time to spend with his wife. When is first test came around he failed the physical exam, he couldn't do enough pull ups. After that he knew he had to train even harder at every aspect if he wanted to have enough energy left over to do the pull ups at the end of the test. So jack ended up dedicating even more of is time to training and less to the people around him. As he began getting involved more with his family he started to miss his work.
