A student arrives late to class by five minutes.

Give 'Em Five Conversation:

1. Support:
   Teacher: "Hey [Student's Name], I'm glad you made it to class today."

2. Expectation:
   Teacher: "Remember, it’s important to be in class on time so you don’t miss any important information or disrupt the lesson for others."

3. Breakdown:
   Teacher: "You came in five minutes late today, which means you missed the start of our discussion and interrupted the flow of the class."

4. Benefit:
   Teacher: "When you’re here on time, you can fully participate and stay on top of the material. Plus, it shows respect for your classmates and the learning environment."

5. Closure:
   Teacher: "Let’s make sure you’re on time tomorrow. If there’s anything you need help with to make that happen, just let me know. I know you can do it."
